    You know the drill....

9/3: Edgar Gonzalez vs. Jeff Locke, in progress

9/4: Jordan Lyles vs. Wandy Rodriguez, 6:05 on FSHouston

9/5: Fernando Abad vs. Kevin Correia, 6:05 on FSHouston

Would you look at that, Brett Wallace sent one out... against a lefty.

Very nice game by Wallace and the pitching staff today. Edgar Gonzalez's first win in the majors since 2006.

Wallace went 3-4 w/ a 3 run hr (against a lefty) and made a fantastic diving play for the 1st out in the ninth, preventing a likely leadoff double.

After a 1 for 15 effort over his previous 4 games, it was good to see him bounce back.

Not much in terms of call-ups: J.D. Martinez, Chuckie Fick, Carlos Corporan, Dallas Keuchel

It was obvious the guys that were going to get the call once they announced it would be 4.

Wallace did all of that yesterday vs. left handed pitching...something Mills said he couldn't hit. He refused to play him vs. lefties at all.

Like I tweeted to AstrosCounty earlier this year, Brad Mills would sit Barry Bonds against J.A. Happ.

In the minors this year, he hit .354/.404/.636 against lefties in 104PAs. Only 17 strikeouts.

Looking at an 8:20 start time(8 minutes here); rain delay apparently.

Fernando Martinez scratched with an inner thigh boil. What a p***y reason to not play baseball. They do hurt like a mofo though.

Like Troy Tulowitzki, Tyler Greene is big for a SS. The only minor difference between the two is that Tulowitzki can actually play the position.

And that Tulo doesn't hit like a traditional SS.

I know I should've shown some thicker skin, but that piece of "journalism" is probably on par with the "People Still Follow This Team?" thread.

Lulz, the Pirates have lost 6 straight, are only 2 games above .500 and only a half game ahead of the Brewers for 3rd in the division.
