I'm quite surprised only 2 people in 12 pages have mentioned Little Bitty Burger Barn. They have some amazing burgers, my current favorite is the bacon bacon bacon burger. 2 all beef patty's with bacon mixed in on bacon infused bread with bacon mayo, bacon in the cheese, and 3 strips of bacon, served with bacon ketchup, bacon and bacon salt on the side. Their astros burger will be the next one i try. http://www.littlebittyburgerbarn.com/home
It's very good. Just be sure and go to the bar and ask for the HH version. I've tried the $16 Lunch version, and the HH is better.
Also, coming soon to Kirby and 59 is Elevation Burger. While it is a "chain," it uses only organic, grass-fed, free range beef and 100% cheddar on its burgers. Everything else is organic, as well. The typical Double will cost you $5.89, so not too bad. But we won't be going there for that. No, we will be going for the $26 Vertigo burger with 10 patties, and 10 pieces of cheese: The only place where this is actually on their menu.

I tried Little Bitty Burger Barn the other day. It's only good if it's your first mom and pop burger. The patties are unseasoned and have zero flavor, but the fixings (Chipotle) are great. My friend had the bacon cheeseburger and hated the patties as well. Would not hit again. I ate a small bowl of fruit while watching this and feel like I'm the one who should be getting the applause.
can't believe i missed this thread first go round. first pappa's burger is the best houston burger. hate to go to the pappa's card but it really is the best one i've had. miller's on n sheperd, there is one downtown. both are a little overpriced. i was lucky to eat at tookies in kemah a couple of times but its a bit overrated. the new carl's jr commercial with the two girls makes me want to try the new pulled pork burger alone. best value steak and shake. portobello mushroom burger with fries and shake under eight. ridamndiculous
