I don't know what the "5 previous" means, 5 previous games prior to the matchup or 5 previous vs. KG.
The previous 5 are the previous 5 games before facing the Celtics so you know how well the player was doing before the matchup. And then the On court vs Garnett are the stats of when the player was being guarded by Kevin Garnett
Still, only 16min and Hibbert is on my team mainly for size, blocking and rebounding. He exceeded KG in their matchups in those categories. Plus I still dominate SG, SF by a mile on offense and Bron would make Gallo his biotch. If you bring in Marion you have a pretty bad offense.
Paul George dominates Aaron Afflalo and Avery Bradley? what rubbish is this? PER 36 minutes, Afflalo scores more with a higher FG%, higher 3 point %. Come on man. Stop saying ridiculous things. I showed that KG shuts down all big men. Hibbert is not a problem. Also, what killed the Pacers in the playoffs? Miami Heat PnR. What will my team run? PnR with Lawson and Dirk/Garnett. Hibbert is tall but he does not have the lateral quickness to have any hope in that matchup
Maybe because Afflalo is a niche shooter that doesn't score in the variety George does? Jones has a higher percentage than Wade, is he a better scorer? Nice logic. KG shuts Hibbert down, so what? This is solely based on Pacers offense, notice how different my team is with Bron, Conley, Ilyasova? Much more flow and space. You also tend to ignore that Hibbert kills KG in the rebound department. Do the Lawson-Dirk/Kg PnR, I can run zone with Bron as PF or put in Ed Davis. Think that PnR will be effective when I play zone, put Bron on Dirk, Hibbert's lower agiltiy don't get exposed as much, or I play Davis on KG. You always talk about your own defense, think Affalo, Marion, Kg won't struggle vs. their matchups? Let me run Miami smallball offense with Thompson, Green, George, Bron, Ilya/Davis and your team will get raped.
Think effectively I can shut down anyone besides Dirk and maybe Lawson, Lawson won't exceed as the scoring option and Dirk can get defended in great fashion by Bron. You will mightily struggle to score and are severy undersized.
IMO, you are insanely overrating some of your players but we will see in the actual matchups. Especially Paul George and Ilyasova.
Haha fair enough. Bynum and Dirk did well against Garnett. Everyone else had a significant downgrade though.
Explain how it's insanely overrating. Do you really think George won't outscore Afflalo? Do you think Dirk outscores Ilyasova by a huge margin when he's getting defended by Bron and has to guard ilya at the 3pt line and catch him on screens? My point is your SG, SF are non-factors on offense, Conley is better defensively than Lawson, I have a huge size advantage and Bron, plus i own the steals/block/rebounding department easily.
PS When it's after the 2012 season and someone is gloryfiying Afflalo, Marion and talking down Ilysova, George...I know that person didn't watch enough NBA and isn't familiar with the actual players. You are basin this on names and years old reputation.
afflalo is still good, im the one who drafted him.. he ave. 15ppg last season and shooting very well, he didn't do well in playoffs that's why you're underrating him.. Marion is still marion, IMO.... George didn't do well in playoffs, but George name sounds better than afflalo.. they both suck in playoffs.. but i like afflalo more in regular season
^^ Afflalo's defense is extremely overrated, he was bad in 2012, only good shooting. George had to score a lot and was under pressure, in my system he could take open shots, slash after Bron creates space or post up. Marion is Marion...Bron dropped 30+ ppg on him this year with over 60% shooting.
Ilyasova is a classic puts up points on a bad team player. I would take Dirk vs Ilyasova over Lebron vs Marion/Garnett anyday
