It seems to me you have a stark contrast then. One group still believes the public sector can accomplish something, while the other group primarily wants to dismantle everything but the defense segment of it. Now, if your business works with DOD contracts, that would turn the argument around, and you would want to support Romney (if only voting for your business.) I would expect more DOD funding under Romney than Obama, though both will (sadly) keep it insanely high.
One under-reported story is Hillary Clinton's absence from the DNC next week. I know why she won't be there. You probably don't. There will be an incredible amount of drama behind the scenes at the convention on Wednesday night. Huge decisions to be made. Looking forward to the chaos that ensues.
Already saw it on Political Animals. Sigourney Weaver is getting the VP slot after threatening to resign her Secretary Of State position.
Is this a lie? http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2012/04/06/3156959/hillary-clinton-citing-her-above.html But various federal statutes and the State Department’s ethical guidelines will keep Secretary Clinton in Washington. “Given her current position, she will not be attending, consistent with her not engaging in any political activity whatsoever,” Philippe Reines, spokesman for the Secretary of State, told the Observer in an email Friday. It’ll be the first time in decades Clinton will miss a Democratic National Convention, Reines added – “possibly all the way back to ’68 in Chicago.” And Clinton isn’t the only Cabinet member expected to skip the Charlotte gathering. Federal statute also precludes the attorney general and the secretary of Defense from attending political gatherings, including national party conventions, Reines said.
No it is not. If you think that "federal statutes" and "ethical guidelines" (ha!) are things that this Administration takes into account when campaigning (or governing), then you are dead wrong. You'll see.
I was talking about the article from the Charlotte paper. Are you saying that they are printing lies?
I'm not understanding what's going on here. Can you provide an example of a law that Obama passed that would hurt the courier business for local/state government in Texas?
LULZ WUT?? You realize that under Obama gasoline prices have doubled, right? This is a major expense for a courier. You can draw a DIRECT line from Obama's reckless spending to this increase in gasoline prices. It goes like this: Record budget deficits (4x the prior record) for 3 straight years Oppressive regulatory red-tape Higher taxes and constantly advocating policies that raise taxes All of this leads to a loss of business confidence and it leads to economic stagnation, where we currently stand. This in turn, leads Ben Bernanke and the Fed to pursue easy money policies, such as QE. This in turn, sends commodity prices soaring and causes pain at the pump. Obama's reckless and irresponsible spending and his total LACK OF LEADERSHIP on economic matters is assaulting the lower and middle classes. Ironically, it's been helpful to the upper crust (like me) who have big investments in the stock market, as the Fed is doing everything they can to prop up the stock market -- at the expense of the middle and lower class. When the Fed pursues quantitative easing, the upper class wins and the middle/lower classes lose. Stock prices go up, but so do gasoline prices and food prices, which nail the middle class. So which laws have created pain for couriers (and most other businesses)? Pretty much every one Obama has passed, but with special attention paid to Obamacare, the Stimulus, and any other law that raised taxes and saddled us with an unsustainable debt.
Is everything you post just a flat out lie these days? Is that all you guys have now? Lie, lie, lie? http://science.time.com/2012/02/21/gasbag-why-no-president-can-bring-us-2-gasoline/
LOL at that story trying to explain away Obama's clampdown on Gulf of Mexico oil production, Obama's delays on the Keystone XL pipeline, his ineffective foreign policy that scares the markets, and a host of other Obama policies that have raised prices at the pump. All of these positions have caused gas prices to increase. And his fiscal policies have caused complete and total economic stagnation, which then prompts the Fed to pursue easy money which then sends oil prices through the roof and assaults the middle class at the pump. All of this is happening, all of it. Obama is anti energy, period (except for the failed wind and solar scams which have totally failed and cost taxpayers billions). Obama is anti-balanced budget -- that has to be obvious by now as the national debt approaches $16 TRILLION. This has a big economic impact and it's causing gas prices to skyrocket. There's just no denying it, sorry. I wish it weren't the case.
LULZ WUT? I think they are asking you back at the Tea Party American Revolution Reenactment - they need a traitor jorge.
I try to avoid the ad hominem stuff, but you and bigtexx are mentally ill or unbelievably daft or some degree of evil. Or all three. Or just clowns who love smelling your own farts til you have no brain cells left for proper cogitation. Hell, you stayed away for three years. Why couldn't you make it forever?
Domestic oil production is as high as it has ever been. Your head in the sand routine doesn't fool anyone that takes five minutes to find the facts.
Still waiting for any intelligent response to my very salient points. Nothing but weak attempts at name calling and a link to a hilariously flawed article thus far. Is there no one left who can mount a challenge to The_Conquistador? Four years of failed policies will kind of do that to the libs.
