One thing I DID notice was that this is the first Madden game ever where a screen pass actually works. That was pretty cool since just about every team in the league throws screen passes. In past Madden games, you'd be lucky to complete one before getting sacked. And if you did complete one, it was always for a 5-yard loss. I played the Texans vs. the Dolphins and Schaub was like 16-17 at halftime. Maybe the Fins really blow chimps, but I couldn't throw an incomplete pass if I wanted to. Are there any sites out there that have settings that most resemble real games? Like slider settings, etc.
Go to operationsports.com and go to their forums section. There is a forum dedicated to nothing but sliders. I'll warn you though, if you are happy with your gaming experience, don't read the main madden forum. You'll discover bugs that you didn't notice that will make it hard for you to continue to enjoy.
Worth getting or no? Am I paying $60 for just a roster update? Franchise mode is this new 'Career Connections' mode or is Franchise mode gone? TIA
Everything you could do in franchise is still there and then some minus the ability to edit players and importing NCAA rosters. Plus the online franchise is actually playable for the first time in Madden's history.
Why do I have to into 18 menus to trade a player, returning this piece of **** for store credit towards Assassins Creed. Madden is dead to me.
Wrong, connected careers is totally counterintuative and downright cumbersome to navigate, EA has sold its soul and turned this game into into a buy it on e and then pay real cash for the goodies inside the game. I noticed this in Tiger Woods this year where you have to buy about half the courses. The public need to boycott this practice, if the big boys like EA are leading the way in this never-ending pay for game features then you know the rest of the developers will follow. It upsets me that one of my great time wasters is now gone the way of the iPhone app where you are exPected to endlessly shell out money for features and add one previously included in the original purchase price. This sadly was prObably their intent all along from the moment they introduced online connectivity to console gaming. If this pile of **** doesn't go down as one of the greatest gaffes in the history of gaming then maybe I'm done with the industry all together.
So what do you have to pay for in Madden that you didn't before? Do you have to pay for roster updates? I haven't played Madden in several years.
No Pun you don't. But if there Isn't already a pay for XP there will be. TBH, the game is such a b**** to navigate I haven't found the feature yet
Bought it for the boy and me yesterday. Haven't bought a madden for probably 5-6 years. A lot has changed but for the most part I thought it was good. Calling played was simplified since the old days when you just scrolled the whole play book. I guess that's good since you still have that option. Graphics and physics are much improved.
and btw would you guys on Clutchfans want to start an Online Career mode or whatever? It would be much more fun if we could draft teams though, can't believe they took that out.
Its been like that for years man. EA makes you buy their cheat codes and stuff. They are a terrible company, but they have a monopoly on the NFL license so we can't really do anything.
I believe it was weekly last year. Assume it will be the same this year. Also, they're looking to patch players edits during a season. No fantasy draft though.
I don't think connected careers is any different than franchise mode. I only get Madden for franchise mode and online play and so far it is fantastic.
