2nd best team in east, title contender, better team this year than last, etc etc I think we will be " done" for the next 5 years but when bostons cap space opens up again they will be retooling for title run like lakers
Rondo is very talented but has no class. He went straight to the locker room in the dying minutes of the game they lost the series to the Heat. Didn't bother staying to shake hands. He already beat Lin once. Go pick a fight with someone else.
Good to hear. Lin will hear about this & it will get him pumped. This is competition people. Lin heard what Kobe was saying in the locker room "how he didn't know him" & it got Lin pumped & look how well he played. Lin will come ready to work. People are overreacting about Rondo's words. Rondo & Lin are cool with one another. Lin has been playing at Rondo's charity games since his Harvard days. Lin himself singled out Rondo & Rose as two of the best pg's he went against. This will only make Lin better off in the long run. Rondo is a walking triple double machine & Lin is still learning so Rondo will definitely go to work. But if Lin can put up decent numbers & hold his own reasonably well I would count that as significant progress.
Highly unlikely they beat the Heat. They will give the Heat a hard time but thats it. They got a bit better but the only reason they pushed the Heat so hard last season was due to Bosh being out(yes I know Avery Bradley is out but Bosh is way more crucial in comparison). PP was injured as well but so was Wade so its a wash in that regard. The Heat got Ray Allen and Rashard. The Celtics got Terry who basically replaces Allen, Jeff Green, and C Lee. They got better but so did the Heat. In the end the gap is still around the same.
Anyway Rondo is overrated. I laugh when people say a PG who can't score or shoot is the best PG in the NBA. He also can't run a good offense. I take current Steve Nash(ran great offenses with scrubs), D Will, Rose(healthy), Westbrook, Tony Parker, and ofc Chris Paul over him. I don't get why he even mentions Jeremy Lin. Its not like crushing a vastly inferior team is much of an accomplishment.
You don't seriously believe that Rondo can't run a good offense do you? And you would ] take Rose & Russ of Rondo, I definitely wouldn't & I am not even a Rondo fan. And he mentioned Lin because reporters asked him about what he feels of Lin moving to Houston. Lin is like the first name that comes out of a lot of reporters mouths nowadays.

What Rondo said is a non-story if the claim is about Boston being able to beat Houston. It's a non-story also if it's about being better than Lin. It's a non-story if the focus is trashtalk: Rondo simply said what many elite guards actually think in private but do not say in public. Rose didn't express it in a way that can be documented by the press, but he was certainly out to toast Lin.
Linsanity has never been stopped. The tussle between Knicks and Rockets for Jeremy Lin after the shortened season is a proof.
Yeah it is still in full effect trust me, otherwise his Free Agency wouldn't have shut down all talk of the Dwightmare. Anyway, it's good that guys get really excited to play against Lin. It will force him to bring his A game every night. Also, it will help all the other young guys out as well, they will also have to grow up really quickly because of this. There will be a lot of ugly battles.
