I pretty much agree with this, but don't forget World Cup top scorer Thomas Mueller, as well as Luiz Gustavo and Claudio Pizarro. I think we have much better depth than last year. While Kroos has better technical skills with the ball than Thomas Mueller, I prefer Mueller's attitude and drive by far - Kroos too often reminds me of a girl out there.

I just hope we get rid of Tymoshchuk before tomorrow - I really don't want to see him stumble around on the field anymore.

Problem with Müller is, he's far better as a right wing(see National team) and never stood out as a 10. With Robben, Kroos and now Shaqiri there's not too much room for him.

Agree that Kroos has a questionable attitude and is not the best solution for the 10 spot, lacks scoring and agility.

Been saying for years that we need a true 10 like Modric or Özil(thanks, LVG ) as the final puzzle piece, maybe Shaqiri wil develop into one.

    Like top 4 in EPL?

Top 3 directly enter, 4th seed has to play at the play-off round(home and away vs. one other team).

La Liga is 3 automatic +1 qualifying round
    Bundesliga 3+1
    Serie A 2+1
    Russia 1+1
    Portugal 2+1

It all depends on how UEFA ranks the strength of the European countries. The lesser countries have to go through the qualifying rounds to make the group stages.

Damn what is the deal with QPR? They're quietly building a decent team.

Anybody know exactly how rich their Malaysian owner is? I hear he's a billionaire? Don't think he has the dough to throw around like Chelsea/City, but dude is spending.

What a terrible day for dutch european soccer.
    1 team in the CL

Only 2 teams in the euroleague (PSV and Twente).

And Ajax is in the group with, Real madrid, Man City and Dortmund. This will be a very short european season for dutch teams.

Isn't one of Ajax's stars getting bought by an EPL team?

Hasn't every season for the past couple of years been a short one in Europe for the eredivisie teams?

That's the weird part because one of the minority owners-Lakshmi Mittal was way richer than Fernandes yet he refused to splash the cash with the former regime and I don't think he's doing so now-he's apparently the silent investor type.

Gotta disagree man. I don't think it will be luck or unexpected if Swansea finish in the top half. I would figure they won't be mired in a relegation battle(especially if they reload during the winter window and spend some of the Scott Sinclair funds) but Rodgers left them playing great football and Laudrup has picked that up and improved on it imo. They'll be in better stead than Norwich, QPR(even after splashing the cash) and some other more established sides. They'll be in trouble against the big boys most likely but against other mid table sides I think they'll be fine.

I hope, and can see West Ham going back down so finally Fat Sam will officially get a team relegated.

    Wow thanks for the optimism:grin:
It never went that well the last 8 years or so. But this year is pathetic. Only 2 teams in the euroleague and 1 in the CL is one of the worst i can remember.

Jontro a couple of good Ajax players have been bought by english teams, tha happens every year with dutch teams and their best players.

City bought Scott Sinclair and Maicon today, three other players will apparently follow in the next hours. City has so much money it's ridiculous.

I know it sounds bad, but that's why they became my favorite team when I started following EPL football a few seasons ago. I'm glad I did because I really like Hart, Kompany and Yaya and was real happy when we signed Nasri because he was one of a few players I started to like in the EPL outside of City.

Not too big because usually everyone expects the CL winner to win this thing, the other team was in the EL for a reason.

Still it's high level football with two big clubs, so most people gonna watch.
