oh sorry forgot the link.. http://twitter.com/OHoopsTraining/status/240514465844588544/photo/1 this from parsons twit page. http://twitter.com/ChandlerParsons.
That may be some of the things he is working on, ball rotation is just proper mechanics it doesn't need to be thought of during the shot.
I don't know if he'll ever be a shooter, but this guy is a bball dog and he's a winner. Plays like this and the post before it.....most guys don't want those shots. Chandler went looking for them, his head was in the game all the way to the buzzer, he made them happen. Sure, there was luck. But the only way luck comes into play is when a guy has his head in the game and is in the right place at the right time. Any of his opponents could have tracked him before the 70 footer in the first video and they could have covered him in the second video. But they didn't. That's what separates winners from the pack. They dog it to the buzzer and make something happen. This guy....he's a basketball playing dog. Great, great attitude.
what do you guys expect him to be from the stripe this season? He was improving towards the end of the year, so I'd say 70%
There no reason to expect his shot wont get better. He has the right attitude and mentality to go along with balling skills. Parsons hit some big time crucial 3s down the wire last season. Not just once or twice either.
If Parsons develops a consistent outside shot, he's going to be one of the best players in the league.
Call me crazy, but I really dont want Parsons to start looking for his 3 point shot here in the future as his first option shot. I want to see the Chandler Parsons I saw at Florida where he was aggressive in attacking the basket, and break down the defense with his underated passing ability to create for his teamates. If he gets better at shooting the 3 then great, but If you want to try and turn him into a Steve Novak type of wing then you are selling him short of what he can do for your team.
Doesn't mean anything, Rondo shoots great in practice from what I heard, but it just doesn't translate in games. Shooting in practice and in real games is a huge difference and some players can't seem to make it. Think he'll shoot around 35 percent this year from downtown.
"a Steve Novak" wow. high expectations.. not.lol more like Scottie Pippen production. all around dude who even Kobe praised.
dumbass. it's called instinct. if he trains and improved, instinct improves. did you miss CP25s clutch shots last year? even in college, he has clutch genes. it only makes sense for him to improve his shooting more. dumbass.
haha... insane for wanting Chandler to NOT settle for 3 point shots, and stick to what works best for his skill set which is to create for others, and attack the basket???? Ok....
Agreed. That's always a fear, but he seems smart enough to know how to use his game. If he's draining threes, they won't leave him as open and he can then just drive past them. I have high hopes for this kid.
