And I bet his two biggest games will come against the Knicks. His third might be against Miami!

Wow those are bold predictions.....I don't think he comes anywhere close to that.

I think he averages 15 ppg 6 ast 3 turns.

    22 & 7? Not even. This is a new low for the B/R. I have him at 18 & 8.

    Wanna bet, girl?

    I predict he'll get 22 points,8 assists,4 rebound,2 steals and 4 TOs.

    That's only conservative:p

What must his stats be to be a LEGITIMATE all star?

Also I want to see his stats equating to wins. Don't need no Monta Ellis.

Why all the hate for Bleacher Report? It's the opinion of fans, just like us.

Eh, the prediction wasn't really all that bold at all. He averaged about 18 and 8 in games he started last season, and that was with Carmelo Anthony's presence bringing his numbers down. The question is how will Lin and a scorer like Kevin Martin play together? IMO, I think they'd fit in fine as Martin is a guy that can effectively play off the ball. While Carmelo also has the ability to do it, he was very reluctant to do so last season with Lin, which often made the Knicks offense stagnant when the two were on the floor. His presence in the line-up when he came back from his groin injury also made Lin less aggressive and more deferential. I don't foresee Martin having that effect, but I haven't see a ton of K-Mart recently.

His overall per-36 numbers were 19.6 ppg, 8.3 apg, and 4.1 rpg. The turnovers were obviously sky-high at 4.8 tpg, but I think that number should come down to something like 3.5 per-36, as he won't be the sole ball-handler like he was in D'Antoni's system. And obviously, being just a bit more experienced should help, as well. If he plays 33-36 minutes a game like it looks he will, I don't see him being too far off his per-36 averages with the Knicks, as the Rockets run an offense that uses the PG heavily.

For me, the thing to watch will be his shooting efficiency. He's improved his shooting a lot recently (with some tweaks to his mechanics). I can see him being a mid-80% FT shooter. A FG% above 45% is something I'd expect out of him as he isn't the kind of player that forces bad shots often. As far as the 3PT% goes, I think he's capable of something like 38% at this point in his career.

The core of the lineup during Linsanity:
    Lin/Douglas
    Shumpert/Walker
    Field
    Jeffries/Novak
    Tyson
Outside of Tyson, the average salary was about 1 million/player. That was a 'band-aid' roster and able to beat teams.

    Rox curent roster:
    Lin/Douglas
    Martin/Lamb
    Defino/Parson
    Jones/White/Dmo
    Asik/Dmo

Which roster looks better? If Lin can make everyone play better, like he did in NY, and leads the team to a win streak at the beginning of the season. Rox will ride high on confident for the rest of the season, there is a real legitimate shot at the playoffs. Even if they do, I don't expect them to go further than the first round, but next two years will look golden with all our other 'assets.'
