Weird and wacky stuff from the computer models. The GFS is now saying east of New Orleans and the Euro is the one saying landfall around Morgan City. This has been a very interesting storm to track. It's a good thing that dry air has limited its development up until now but at the speed that this is likely to move onshore there could still be some terrible damage due to flooding rains.

What a rag tag, weird storm this one has been. Is there even any rain left with it? Seems Florida stole it all.

There's a chance of what? The storm coming ashore? Yeah, there's a pretty good chance.

Wonder if they're going to cancel/reschedule the A&M/LaTech game.

what a headache for the meteorologists. this storm has been difficult to track.

Hopefully, NOLA will not get hit bad and their new levee system will hold. The biggest concern for them is the storm surge. They may see anywhere from 6 inches to 12 inches storm surge.

The latest GFS run shows us getting some good winds from this. I still think we'll get nada. The runs have not been able to nail this one down the whole cycle.

12Z GFS, pulling farther west following the Euro. Still no 'Cane, just a disorganized mess.

I hope you don't live in Houston. If this makes you nervous, I can't imagine what walking outside of your house makes you feel like.

Keep your ignorant jokes to yourself please.

Here's a snippet of discussion from the Houston forecast office. The closer this thing inches its way to Houston the higher the possibility of severe weather.

ISAAC STILL PROGGED BY TPC TO MAKE LANDFALL OVER SE LOUISIANA. THE
12Z NAM IS TRENDING FURTHER WEST WITH ISAAC AND IT IS LOOKING MORE
AND MORE LIKE THE 00Z ECMWF. THERE COULD BE SOME SIGNIFICANT
CHANGES IN THE FORECAST PACKAGE THIS AFTN IF THE 12Z GFS SUPPORTS
THE THE 12Z NAM. THE NAM IS ADVERTISING THAT THE INFLOW FOR ISAAC
WILL COME THROUGH EAST/SOUTHEAST TEXAS ON THURSDAY NIGHT AND
FRIDAY. THIS BAND OF HIGHER MOISTURE COULD CAUSE SIGNIFICANTLY
HIGHER RAIN CHANCES THAN IS CURRENTLY PROJECTED. THE CURRENT TPC
TRACK WOULD KEEP THE HEAVY RAIN AXIS EAST OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS. 43

Some of the models are coming in now predicting a SW drift back into the water. This is very bad news for S LA. It seems that Isaac may not have gotten to the weakness to the north in time and the ridge may block northward movement for a bit. We shall see if this is true but for now it appears that Isaac is barely moving.

If you take a peek outside right now, the clouds awfully look like the outer band of Issac. Pulling from the moisture that is over SC right now. Crazy!

It is a feeder band over us right now. A weak one though. You can see it here.

Waiting for the updated GFL run, as both the NAM and Euro push it W-SW for the next 24-36 hours over water. Wow.

Houstonians, keep a look out. The way the eye is ramping up looks just like Ike before landfall. We might actually get some rain out of this after all, but damn LA is going to drown.

Can you guys post websites that you frequent to see models and such??

Exactly...it looks like Ike. So huge and has a potential to cause a lot of damages.
