I do CrossFit, and minimalist shoes are very popular with Crossfitters, so quite a few people wear the Vibrams there. More popular recently are the Inov-8 195's, a minimalist trail running shoe. I'm personally just fine with my Nike Pegasus, going barefoot on heavy lift days.

I have the KSO's and just purchased the TrekSport. Love these shoes. I also bought a pair of the injini toe socks.

You will not regret your purchase.

^^haven't tried those. I don't know if I will, cause I love Vibrams so much.

I just bought the black KSOs. they're coming in today or tomorrow. I'm PUMPED.

btw, I washed mine with laundry detergent and a toothbrush in a sink full of warm water. Let them air dry. Worked beautifully.

Just an fyi, in case anyone has trouble cleaning them.

Yeah, the Vibrams are more versatile. Apparently, these Fila copies are more of a casual shoe not made for running. Maybe just general walking and possibly some fitness activities like yoga or weights.

Washing them can get kind of tricky. If that worked for you, then that's great. Definitely stay with that. Some have problems and other's dont. One detergent i used peeled off the edges of the sole, so i had to glue that back. I've also heard the stink has kicked in for some after a few succesful washes. Hopefully you won't experience it, but just a heads up.

I wore these 24/7 at SXSW this weekend.

MAN these shoes are seriously one of my favorite purchases ever. I have 2 pairs now and my feet wear out quickly in anything else.

My brother puts his Vibrams in the washing machine and then air drys them. He hasn't had a problem with the shoes using that method.

Do you think it can wash away dog crap if you stepped on some or do you recommend hand washing for that situation?

I'd be worried some of it would remain in the washer. At least try to get off as much as possible by hand. Maybe lay them upside down outside and pressure spray them with the hose. Did it get inside the grooves of the sole? If so, then you may have to do it by hand completely, since the grooves only show when you bend the sole. (at least for the KSO model)

Sounds like first hand experience, thanks for the info. If it ever happens to me, I'll mail them to you.

Seriously? That was lame. I don't need first hand experience to provide the answer I gave you. I thought you lacked common sense and just wanted to help out.

Repped, thanks for this! Hope the deal lasts til Friday. I need a new pair. My Speeds are on their last legs. They're tearing along the side of the right shoe near the big toe. My sprints did the same thing. Must be the way I strike the ground. I have another pair that's in better condition but I don't really like the grips on the bottom.
