I'm kinda bummed you can't transfer players from NCAA anymore, but hopefully this doesn't disappoint.
Best Madden in Years??? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cQIet_pwxsQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> IGN sure thinks so...
I downloaded the demo and was pleasantly surprised by the gameplay. Draws and play actions actually work and my linemen actually block! Plus they got rid of the superman LBs that would swat down any short passes within 15 yards of them.
<iframe width="480" height="270" src="http://www.gamespot.com/videoembed/6393229&vidSize=480" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe> Gamespot doesn't. Same ****, different day.
Going to pick mine up today. I'm not too uptight about latest and greatest, and it will be my first madden in years unless you count the wii or phone/tablet versions, so I'm pretty pumped up about it.
Despite all it's faults, I will buy it again this year. I'm not a big gamer, so that's how I justify it. Pretty much just play Madden and GTA exclusively.
I agree. All I'll play are Madden/2k/GTA/AC series, so I can justify the cost. I just hope it doesn't suck.
I was pretty much a madden only guy with a few other games for short stretches. However, not being able to edit rosters for my franchise makes it worthless to me. I can't put players on different teams, can't fix the terrible ratings from the ratings czar at madden, etc
I wish they'd put it out for PC. I'm too cheap. never bought a 360 or a PS3. Question: Is the Wii version still cartoony and stupid, like everything else on the Wii?
No. No editing whatsoever for franchise (Connected Careers) mode. You can edit the roster to use in "Play Now" but you can't use it in franchise.
I have no need for editing players. I practice against the CPU and play against people. I really don't understand why editing is a big deal. If you're actually good at Madden you should be able to compete with any team no matter the ratings. And when you're ready to really show what you got, just pick a team with better players. At any rate, I bought it during my lunch break. My wife's going to hate it, but the livingroom TV is mine until March.
I play franchise too but never felt I had to edit players. Why do you guys do it? Why is it a deal killer?
I like to play franchise and I like real results. I like to fix rating errors, change a player's position if I switch from 4-3 to 3-4 (which you can't do now) fix names that are listed wrong, change numbers if I make a trade to make it make sense, etc.
I get the logic... But once you get to the point where you NEVER LOSE to the CPU; does the whole realistic factor really matter?
