10 team, 9th pick. Scoring is different to say the least. You get extra points for hitting milestones in a game... 2pt for passing 300yd, 3pt for 350 and 5 for 400+ and for rushing/receiving 2pt for 100yd, 3 for 150, 5 for 200+. It's also .25pt for completion and .5 for reception. passing td is 6 rather than 4. QB, 3WR, 2RB, TE, FLEX. 1. (9) Calvin Johnson (Det - WR) 2. (12) Matthew Stafford (Det - QB) 3. (29) A.J. Green (Cin - WR) 4. (32) Wes Welker (NE - WR) 5. (49) Frank Gore (SF - RB) 6. (52) Ahmad Bradshaw (NYG - RB) 7. (69) Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR) 8. (72) Shonn Greene (NYJ - RB) 9. (89) Brent Celek (Phi - TE) 10. (92) Rashard Mendenhall (Pit - RB) 11. (109) Kenny Britt (Ten - WR) 12. (112) Seattle (Sea - DEF) 13. (129) Ben Tate (Hou - RB) 14. (132) Jacob Tamme (Den - TE) 15. (149) Dan Bailey (Dal - K) 16. (152) Andy Dalton (Cin - QB) I really didn't want to draft Johnson and Stafford, but come my 3nd pick, QBs like Romo and Eli had already been drafted (yeah, Romo was taken in the first round), so I coudn't leave Stafford on the table and get stuck with crap since QBs are more valuable in this league than standard scoring leagues. I really wanted to get a RB with my 3rd and 4th, but no one was available worth those picks. I'm also hoping Mendenhall comes back strong. Doesn't have be be soon, but I'd like him to be one of my RB or the flex player down the stretch or as a trade piece.
I feel like you could have done better than Celek with your 9th pick. No Greg Olsen? Jared Cook? or even a Kyle Rudolph available? Besides that, nice job blending the deep receiver pool with picking up solid RB options as well.
Great draft Not a big fan of Mendenhall in the 10th because we don't know when he'll be back, but that's a really minor quibble.
PPR league, standard scoring except for 6 pt pass TD, and 20 return yards = 1 pt. 12 teams No I in Tebow 1. (6) Ray Rice (Bal - RB) 2. (19) Wes Welker (NE - WR) 3. (30) Trent Richardson (Cle - RB) 4. (43) Steve Smith (Car - WR) 5. (54) Michael Turner (Atl - RB) 6. (67) Pierre Garcon (Was - WR) 7. (78) Tony Romo (Dal - QB) 8. (91) Robert Meachem (SD - WR) 9. (102) Kevin Smith (Det - RB) 10. (115) Chicago (Chi - DEF) 11. (126) Jared Cook (Ten - TE) 12. (139) Randall Cobb (GB - WR) 13. (150) Kellen Winslow (Sea - TE) 14. (163) Josh Freeman (TB - QB) 15. (174) Mike Goodson (Oak - RB) 16. (187) Alex Henery (Phi - K) 17. (198) Atlanta (Atl - DEF) 18. (211) Joe Flacco (Bal - QB) 19. (222) Brian Quick (StL - WR) I really like my team. The only downside is the 3 QBs, but Freeman/Romo have the same bye and I got Flacco really late.
Ray Rice at #6 in a PPR league???????????????????????????????????????????? Welker is always a great PPR pick. Mentally handicapped people in your league?
Mendenhall & Britt are great late round choices. They will be back, and are likely starters for most fantasy teams.
McCoy fell to me at 7 in a PPR. I'd probably rank him #1. But these 6pt TD leagues are dicey man, you have to consider QB's now the way the game has changed. Also I could make an argument to take Graham over any RB.
Lol 1. Newton 2. Rodgers 3. Foster 4. Brees 5. Brady 6. Rice 7. McCoy For the most part, a pretty knowledgeable group
Thanks, you and I agree. I wanted to get them, especailly Mend. Going down the stretch and into the playoffs is when you want your best players... I think I'll survive without those guys for half a season, but if they come back and do well, I'll be solid in the playoffs. I probably could have got Mendenhall a round or two later, but I didn't see anyone else around that pick I wanted and didn't want to take the chance of someone else taking him.
lol, in my league (6pt td, .25pt per completetion), here is our first round. 1. Aaron Rodgers (GB - QB) Actung Panzer! 2. Arian Foster (Hou - RB) PinkGlitterC... 3. Cam Newton (Car - QB) Thunder Buddies 4. Tom Brady (NE - QB) Sped's Jig &... 5. Ray Rice (Bal - RB) Boston Spygates 6. Drew Brees (NO - QB) JACKSON's G-PA 7. Tony Romo (Dal - QB) The GRIZ 8. LeSean McCoy (Phi - RB) GR's Leo 9. Calvin Johnson (Det - WR) OMG t***! 10. Eli Manning (NYG - QB) Bags of Fanta Romo 7 and Manning 10. I got Stafford at 12. Most these guys are from Dallas, but still, who the fk takes Romo at 7?
^^^ Jesus. I wish I can be that optimistic with Romo. I was holding out for Schaub, but we're mostly Texan fans, so he was taken a round or two early. If I was able to get one of the big 3 QBs with the 6 pick, I would've. Instead I built my RB/WR position and held out for a QB. I may regret not taking Calvin Johnson @ 6, but with the Madden curse and the difficulty to have back-to-back monster years, I am fine with reception machine Welker at my #1 WR option.
Here was my first FF draft. 8 teams, and I was the 3rd pick in a PPR league. (my friends said I pick AJ way too soon due to the PPR thing.) 1 - LeSean McCoy 2 - Matthew Stafford QB 3 - Andre Johnson WR 4 - Hakeem Nicks WR 5 - Ahmad Bradshaw RB 6 - Antonio Gates TE 7 - Dez Bryant WR 8 - Doug Martin RB 9 - Mark Ingram RB 10 - Torrey Smith WR 11 - Rashad Jennings RB 12 - Reggie Wayne WR 13 - Andrew Luck QB 14 - David Wilson RB 15 - Lions D/ST D/ST 16 - Alex Henery K
That's just crazy. QBs had a ridiculous season last year, but if you look back to the the previous 3 years, the highest QB totals were 36, 34, 34. In fact, 2005-2010 produced only one guy over 36, and that was Tom Brady In PPR, Foster/Rice/McCoy are the clear guys (unless there are some other funky rules).
You can't look at the past anymore when you're talking QB's. New England, Green Bay, Detroit - they practically don't even carry running backs.
Qbs I think are good value picks Vick, Peyton, Flacco, RG3, Locker People seem scared to death of Mike Vick lately. I got him in the 6th round in one league.
New England has been that way for years, but after throwing 50TDs, Brady hasn't reached 40. In 2010 he didn't even throw for 4000 yards. Hell, Rodgers actually threw the ball more times in 2008 & 2009, but didn't rack up but about 30TDs per season in 2008-2010. The offense didn't really change. Last year was a fluke season.
I like RG3 & Peyton no doubt. Of course people are scared of Vick. It isn't if he gets hurt but when. Not to mention he wasn't as great last season.
