idk what i wrote here, but i meant your deal was a drop off from late 3 to late 5, which is a huge drop. from a marginal all star --> several tiers down
This ^ Why would you want to move down a round for an upgrade on bench? doesn't make sense to me. i will take the RISK at getting a superstar than improve my bench. He also got a pick swap in the 4th by the way... it's really simple and easy to understand.. If RedNation got either Melo/Williams i don't think you'll start this argument. I just stated the obvious that noone will take your offer if you'll just give an upgrade off the bench for a 2nd.. and you reply with all these lol
i wouldn't start the argument if you didn't start it... i just don't think you are the one to talk about lopsided deals in this draft keep in mind, i refused that trade, when it was offered. even before i knew that 'cash considerations' were a real thing. So i'm not sure how I'm being reactionary to that particular pick. I always saw that deal as lopsided. But what do I care. D-Will is hardly an upgrade over Tony Parker or Nash going by last year's peak. And he's much more pricy. Not worth giving up another all star. The difference between late round 3 and late round 4 was fairly small last time, on the other hand.
Dirk is the 2nd highest paid player. I needed someone to balance salaries and play PnR with Dirk. Kyrie seemed perfect.
