Are you talking about this promo? It looks like one of Mike's men getting shanked in prison.

i think every single person dies except walt and his sister in law. they become star crossed lovers and he doesnt mind her petty theft problem, in many ways it brings them together.

    That's the promo.

But if you slow things down, it appears the culprits of the stabbing are wearing yellow suits (not prison orange), almost like the yellow lab suits worn during the cooking. So maybe the 2 people we see walking are Walt & Tod.

I think it's possible that Walt purposefully killed Mike as a "loose end." Why else would he take the gun from the bag? He probably wanted to get the names and then kill him.

Also, I don't understand the Skylar hate. She's clearly WAY more sympathetic than the criminal, psycopathic and selfish Walt. Like seriously, he cooks Meth and kills people. I'm rooting for Skylar.

So Jesse knows or at least suspects Walt of poisoning the kid, correct?

I have a hard time believing Mike would end up in the situation with Heisenberg to where he gets killed by him. Mike was smarter than that. Mike was smart the whole show and knew Walt/Heisenberg better than anyone. Then, he lets his defenses down at the point he is trying to get out to the one man he never trusted the whole time and for good reason. BS. A writing failure. I'm disappointed in how they played this out.

I contemplated this as Mike's soft spot for Jesse being his inevitable downfall. The scene with Mike on the phone with Saul/Jesse/Walt foreshadowed the events that would take place.

Mike didn't want Jesse to risk getting caught, but with Walt, he would take his chances knowing if they caught him he wouldn't give a ****.

When Jesse offered to stick his neck out for Mike, you could see the jealousy and rage boiling over on Walt's face. Mike couldn't see this from the phone. He didn't understand this variable.

Walt planned to kill Mike either way, he knew Mike wouldn't give up the names.

Some would point out that careful, meticulous Walt would never be so stupid as to overlook a detail such as Lydia having the names. Maybe his rage blinded him to that fact. Maybe he was just trying to rationalize it as such to try and make it seem that way to Mike.

Either way, Mike knew the risks involved, and had little choice in the matter but to take his chances. He didn't know the events that had just taken place between Jesse and Walt and couldn't have known Walt's current state of mind.

When walt broke into gus' lab to free jessie, right before they burned it down, he killed two of gus' guards.

He didn't kill Jesse's girlfriend in season 2, but he stood back and watched her die when he could have saved her. That was kind of a murder.

This is pretty much the theme to the show. Walt's ego makes him screw things up. As his ego gets bigger and bigger, he cares less and less about the people around him and make poorer decisions.

Killing Mike was dumb. Mike was not going to the police and he was just about to kill the lawyer and tie up a loose end for Walt.

Earlier, Mike would not thank Walt. Then he would not give Walt the names. Walt's ego could not take the disrespect, so he went into a rage and killed Mike for no good reason. It's all part of Walt breaking bad.

I doubt it. If you pause the video you can see the weapon is a sharpened tooth brush. There is no reason to use a weapon like that unless it is in prison. Walt want to tie up loose ends. It's going to be one of Mike's guys who is in prison.

I dont think Walt killed Mike b/c of some rage fit from being insulted. Walt took the gun out of the bag before he met with Mike so he must of been considering killing him to tie up loose ends so to speak.

It was a precautionary measure I think. Walt was afraid maybe Mike would off him. So he took the gun out, but didn`t have it on him. Walt had to go back to his car to get the gun. So I don`t think the murder was planned, but Mikes disrespect and condescension towards Walt threw him in a fit of rage that caused him to shoot Mike.

You could see Walts immediate expression of regret and horror that was on his face after he shot Mike..like wtf did i do sort of deal...but Walt is definitely not as queasy about murdering someone now (what a huge difference compared to how he approached Krazy 8 in the first season)

They've got 8 writers who meet together for days on end to hash all this out, along with Gilligan who's certainly proven himself from the 20+ X-files episodes alone. Not saying they're perfect, but I'm sure they justified this by thinking that even someone like Mike, under duress, might forget a small detail.

on a sidenote, I think viewers would still be on Walts side if he wasnt acting like he was the *****/creepy douchebag this season. And would hate him less for his actions (like killing Mike) but try to rationalize them on Walts behalf
