ESPN barfs on the Rockets Unis...

It's true, jerseys and merch are a big part of team and fan identity. (Even if the analysis is really annoying usually.)

 

It's the shorts, the cut and the trim makes the butt of players and fans who wear it look bigger, it's really ugly, it the pattern on the side of the shorts that really really stinks! I only bought 2 current design jerseys, my gf thinks they're cute.. but I really don't like em'.




I'm gonna bump this thread til a new design comes.

 

cause it's supposed to have an Asian look.

 

The team is ugly as well.....until they start contending that is all the deserve to wear.

 

I'd have the same laugh if my bank account would look like his.

 

I'm Asian. It's ugly to me tho. It's the cut, the whole layout.
Heat uni's are just plain simple black but their jerseys have a unique tailored design to the human body that makes the players look good. I know for a fact and able to compare the two because I own both teams jerseys. The #3 Heat jersey on me looks 100x better then the #17 Rocket ones. Just saying....


Another fact : Asians can care less about Asian designers, and Asian designers does not mean they have the taste for Asian markets.
For me, Sportswear: Nike, Adidas.
Casual: Polo mostly
Jeans: Levis, Wrangler, Edwin(the only Asian brand I buy)
I do buy local Asian brands mainly because they're cheaper, and wear em' at home. But for a jersey $250 dollars . This not the case.

 

Houston's jersey does suck....so nothing new.

 

Shamefully I've bought Rockets jerseys before. Thankfully they're for my ex-gf, though. I wouldn't want to wear that shet out in public. The Astros are much better for that.

 

The shoulders are really horrible.. they are really wide and awkward especially the replica ones. The ones a few years ago I liked but then they changed the material and it looks really cheap and weird

 

I don't. Everything about their new design sucks.



The Rockets unis were supposed to be trendsetting; I remember that being one of the arguments for the design. But it's really not. Not only is it just an awkward design, but it's made even more-so by the fact that it's completely different than everything else in the NBA. It is the ugly duckling.

 

Well, with the addition of Lin, I expect that the unis will keep their current asian motif.

 

stupid list, but obviously, ppl hates Rockets jersey, i remember i got one for my friend's birthday, its ugly on him, so sad.

 

That's why Barkley stunk it up when he put on the striped "clown outfits"

 

I think the Texans Uniform is sweet. Don't get the low ranking. Agree with comments on Rockets jersey and the Astros jersey is just boring, hopefully the new unis bring back the orange and blue.

But damn, the texans have some of the sweetest jerseys around, no?

 

I think everyone would be happy with a switch to Red and Black unis. Red Black and Yellow would be an awesome colorway. Maybe we haven't touched this colorway since the Blazers have been on those colors since the beginning of time.... (Red and Black)

 

Les is the Rockets version of Nero... I could see him playing a fiddle and laughing hysterically as the Toyota Center burns to the ground.

I absolutely love our Texans logo. Especially on white. White hats, shirts, etc. I really wish we had white helmets. I love the red jerseys too, the blue are pretty boring imo. Wish we'd change it to red permanently and have the blue as alternate.

 

So our uni is also around the middle of the pack. Mediocre is our middle name.

 

What? We clearly need to tank.
