Anyways: *Orlando *Houston *Detroit *Charlotte *Sacramento The west is a lot harder to predict because i could name reasons why I think these teams could be the worse teams in the west and reasons why they wont be. Sac, Phoenix, GS, Houston, NO, will all be in the bottom half of the west....
I looked at all the candidates mentioned. Here's my guess: Charlotte: A lock. One good first rounder can't get them out of last year's hole. Cleveland: Fairly likely. They don't have much outside of Irving. Washington: Don't have much going on outside of Beal and Wall. Got some decent vet big men, which might help, but Washington also seems to have a team culture dysfunction. Houston: Very possible. Not only lost a ton of talent, but the talent they picked up is very short on experience. Sacramento: Have basically done nothing to improve their team, but I kinda expect Cousins will have a better season and bring them up a bit. But, they are in the West, so I think they're sliding back overall. ******** Toronto: Managed to stay out of it last season, barely. But, don't look to be much better this season. Pistons: Don't look much better or worse than last season, which was good enough to avoid bottom-5. Orlando: At first I assumed they'd be terrible, but looking at the roster, I don't think it'll be epic. Unfortunately for them, I think they can be semi-respectable (while bad). Atlanta: Not likely. Took a big step down trading Joe Johnson, but I think they still have enough to stay out of the bottom-5. Helps that they are in the East. New Orleans: No way. Added Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers, and Robin Lopez plus re-upped Eric Gordon. Defnitely still a lottery team, but not bottom-5 anymore. Phoenix: No, good vets make them a bubble team. Milwaukee: Ellis, Jennings, Bogut, Ilyasova, Gooden. Not a bottom-feeder. Minnesota: Are you kidding me? More likely a playoff team than a bottom-5 team.

I really want the Rockets to be on this list, but something tells me we're staring a 12-14th pick AGAIN with the group that we've assembled. That would be frustrating and mind-boggling after 3 freaking years of mediocrity.

if we can get a top 5 pick and a top 10 pick from toronto that would be awesome (im hoping toronto and houston are bottom 5 but toronto being the 5th worst and not any more) i would be happy with that hopefully we can use those picks and a rookie from this year to get a star player and then maybe sign one as a free agent
Yeah, because we got 4 rookies who are better than the vets New Orleans has except for one, not to mention a second year player and third year player who are better than all their vets besides Gordon.
Ive posted a couple times who I believe the bottom five will be and why a couple teams wont be that bad but I dont have seach capability so I'll post them again from memory. Charlotte is the obvious worst team. Detroit's gonna be rotten too .... I think the above two are the worst of the worst. Cleveland , Houston , Phoenix and Milwaukee are my next four in no particular order. I dont have Orlando in the bottom five because they have some veterans on that team that know how to win .... they didnt go full rebuild like the teams above. They wont be a playoff team but I cant see them as a bottom of the lottery team , I figure somewhere between 8-11 for them Sacrament has Couinsin the middle who put up 18 and 11 with room to grow along with Tyreke Evans and some solid veterans. If Cousins matures into any kinda player , they can win on any given night. Doubt they are a playoff team in a deep west but they have more firepower than any team mentioned above. Toronto I believe is one of the most improved teams in the league .... they solved their PG problem with a bulldog , have a pretty solid wing in Derozan and two seven footers to patrol the paint. You cant overlook the fact that Valanciunas didnt play a minute for them last year. If things fall right for Toronto they could be a playoff team.
alot of the players you listed are good opportunistic players. Look at phoenix for example, dudley and gortat are players that score on open jumpers and put backs fast breaks etc. Beasley has been a huge bust but even his little production will be put to test with more attention being put on him (based on personnel) scola is a aging player who will get a year older ..
all of Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith are likely better atm then the Rockets rookies will be right away. The Rockets rookies will likely get a lot of minutes and put up solid stats, but the Hornets do have some good, efficient, polished vets.
Charlotte and Sacramento are easily top 2 worst. Detroit is pretty crap and so is New Orleans. Orlando just made the wort move in the history of the NBA. Cleveland will be included too if Waiters and Thompson dont pan out.
Will be interesting to watch Dion, lots at stake for Cleveland picking him at 4. He better turn out near all-star.
No particular order: Charlotte: Kidd-Gilchrist is good, but Walker a disappointment. Not sold on Sessions. And very poorly managed team. North Carolina deserves better. Cleveland: Simply not enough offense, even with Kyrie and Waiters. Sacramento: This is a question mark for me. They have good talent in their starters but shallow bench. Are the starters disciplined and have good chemistry? Not in my book. If they can somehow get it together and avoid key injuries, they may be able to climb out of their perennial hole. Toronto: Lowry is their best player, and they have nowhere near the talent the Rockets had over the last couple of years. What does that tell you? Valanciunas had a pretty poor Olympics; might he be an NBA bust? Orlando: They're going to be pretty bad. Apart from Afflalo and Davis, they are thin on talent and potential. I don't rank Houston in this mix, although I presume many experts would. As long as McHale is the coach, they won't tank. Sure, they may play the rookies a good deal, which won't get you far this year, but they're good enough to avoid this list. I'll bet at least one of the rooks will become a perennial all-star. I was very happy to see us get Asik. Whilst I don't post much, I wrote on clutchfans in 2010 that I was very impressed with his defensive game after watching him in the 2010 FIBA world championship and hoped one day that the Rockets would get him. I just hope he can stay out of foul trouble playing starter minutes and can improve on his free throws. He's a beast on defense.
