Come to think of it, our bench is as deep as theirs also. 10 guys right?

I speak for myself. The only reason I typed "Houston Rockets" in google search is because of a player name Lin. For the Lakers it's Nash. While I like Lin's game , I don't think he's a fair matchup with Nash. 35 games matching up with 20yrs? Same goes with every other pos in the matchup. It's not a fair comparison for the Rockets.

But to all the posters who mock, make fun of, bash their own team with this matchup has got some mental issues, WTF is wrong with you?

It's being realistic. The Lakers have 4 all stars in their starting lineup, plus a damn good defender. We have 1 great offensive player, Martin, and a hyped question mark in Lin.

Comparing a lottery team, with a championship contender is foolish.

This is the equivalent of Jacksonville fans talking about how they match up with the Texans.

I think the current Rockets would match up well with 1992 Dream team too...

This could be the 2nd greatest team ever assembled, behind only the '99-00 Houston Rockets.

I think we should consider that Howard might no play his first minutes until after the New Year.

I thought it was Troy Murphy, but didn't he get dealt? I believe they also drafted Robert Sacre out of Gonzaga.

Kevin Martin is still on the team. Really annoys me how everyone just forgets about and him and writes him off.

I hate to say "I told ya so" but d howard isn't gonna be ready for pre-season which implies that he won't be ready for the regular season since he would have missed training camp.

People on this site thought I was crazy for believing that d howard might not be ready for the opening season, but again back surgery is back surgery.

The Rockets matchup pretty well with the Fakers. We could run a lineup of Lin, Parsons, Jones, Ppat, and Omer. Our bench is pretty good too. I think our chances are better than what it looks like on paper. The Fakers are an older team.

All we need to do is run, run, run.

you have to rebound to run, run, run...that's easier said than done.

Lin beat them last year with essentially bench players. Of course they did pickup a 38yr old Nash and a better Center.

2-2 all games are decided by 4 points or less.

as crazy as it sounds they do match up nicely. Chandler can get kobe to shoot 50 shots and hit them at 43%. The close talker can keep dwight howard in check. Lin and Nash can take turns playing matador defense on each other. Basically, Ron Ron is going to have an 20+ pt night against us, which he has before, in order for LA to beat us.

Crap, I forgot about Gasol! ay no.

The Rockets beat them last season and they have a better, more athletic team this year. The Lakers grabbed Howard, but they already had Bynum. I'm not that impressed with the Nash pickup. The Lakers are old, and our young vets have obviously been hitting the gym and are going to be better. We could take Kevin out if we had to and move Jones, Marcus, or Royce to 3 to guard Ron.

Omer is a better than Dalembert, and we can sub at the 4 & 2 without much drop off in productivity. I expect Ppat to defend Gasol well, and Omer will defend Howard as good as anyone else in the league.

Dwight's the man, but the other guys were already showing their age last year and even before.

Again, the Rockets matchup pretty well with Kobe & Co. I expect a good game.
