this world is going to ****. and this country is especially going to **** with meaningless shootings.
I was kind of disturbed when I saw the first page of Hangout that right below this thread was one titled "Looking to buy my first gun."
Gunman was fired from his job Thursday....damn! A few years back my long time friend's nurse set fire to his office(in the 610/Galleria area). His nurse tried to cover up something bad that she's done. Several people were killed in that fire, some of you Houstonians may have remember that tragedy. I am really lucky to have such a fantastic staff, you can't even fire anyone nowadays without getting some kind of retaliation in return.
Conflicting stories. BBC reporting he was fired a year ago. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-19372533 Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said the suspect had been fired about a year ago from his job designing women's accessories at a business near the skyscraper. He said the "disgruntled" worker had been armed with a .45 calibre pistol, and he fatally shot a former colleague in the head. The shooter was 53 years old and his victim was 41 years old, Commissioner Kelly said.
I would appreciate being laid off/fired on a Monday. That way I can started right away and perhaps have interviews scheduled later on in the week.
You speak as if it's so easy. I've been applying for hundreds of jobs over the last year and only received two interviews. How can one go about having interviews lined up the same week you start looking? Please elaborate if you can. I could seriously use the advice. Not being sarcastic. Seriously interested. Thanks.
And 19 people were shot in Chicago last night... http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...st-24-violence-gunfire-20120823,0,49779.story
never understood the moronic calls for stringent gun control.. Weed is illegal, CRIMINALS STILL GET WEED.. Criminals don't give 2 #h1ts whether it's illegal or not.. it's us law abiding citizens who will be limited from having guns for self protection and thus the problem will get worse.. Use your brain please.
Years ago i worked at this place where i heard some crazy stories, some ended really tragically. One involved this one employee who had some bad medical issues in addition to family issues, i think his wife left him or something like that. **** got even worst when he got fired. Shortly thereafter, he came into the office, stood in front of his supervisor, put a gun to his own head and splattered his brain in front of the dude.
So the alternative is just let everyone have a gun with no regulations and we can enjoy watching firefights in the streets at a frequency way higher than before. Gun control does not equal gun ban. Gun control equals background checks and thorough processes to prevent potentially dangerous or mentally unstable law abiding citizens from getting guns and those with troubled histories. Putting a gun in the hand of each and every frightened and panicked citizen in a highly congested area is bound to cause more harm than good. With that being said the law is fine as it is now, its really impossible to determine if a person has a potential to blow up and do something like this.
