This had to be planned thinking Lin would still be a knick, right?

 

That was my thinking exactly. They thought they could sell a million Lin jerseys (literally) and now how to sell Amare and Melo jerseys instead.

 

Minor changes... Big woop

 

Its not entirely ridiculous.
Some passionate Knick fans might exchange their old unis for the new ones. Who knows?

 

Way better. Back to more old school look. Black never fit in. Rockets, PLEASE DO SOMETHING NEXT YEAR!!

 

The Rockets are now silver and red when they should be red and yellow..

 

Lin? Why? Would he look better in these than the ones that had before? I'm totally confused.

And, Lin was a nobody until halfway through last season. If the Knicks are introducing new uniforms this coming season, they would have started the process long before they even had Lin.

 

The idea would be that everyone in China bought a Lin jersey would now want the Lin jersey with the NEW design.

 

Rockets need to change their uni's too. Miss the old ones.

 

What's the problem? You don't think the nba wants to make money?

This is the only thing i wasn't sure of, since i think changes have to be introduced before the previous season starts, but this is a pretty minor change, so who knows?

The point would be to sell more of the new stuff, since fans are so crazy over him, and make more money than expected.

 

I thought we would be ranked lower.

And my thoughts on whether we change the uni's this year is no.. I feel the marketing dept will want to ride the Lin sales train for a season.

I think we will be seeing changes in the '13-'14 season

 

yeah, hopefully. I don't understand how hard it is to even make minor changes. If they are planning on staying with the fugly logo, they can at least rework the font, numbers, and cut. Our uni's look super cheap.

 

I'm pretty sure Jeremy Lin is only a Rocket now

 

Awesome.. simple and classic. Why the Rockets have such bad taste, ill never know. But, i have not bought one item with the current or previous identity. Bring back champ days look or modernize that look.

 

Wow, those uniforms are a radical departure and improvement over what they were using!!



jk, I have no idea how they looked specifically last year, but I feel like it had to be really pretty close to the new ones.
