    C Chandler/Camby
    PF Amare/Kurt Thomas
    SF Carmelo/Steve Novak
    SG Ronnie Brewer/ JR Smith
    PG Raymond Felton/Jason Kidd

Other players: Iman Shumpert (hurt), James White, Pablo Prignioni

Can they win 50 games in the East and get a top 3 seed with that squad healthy and getting coached by Mike Woodson?

Yes they can win 50 games, top 3 seed No..... I say 4th seed high 9th or 10th seed bottom if injuries/selfishness occur.

They still have no defense. No defense= not a title threat

Another year where they look good on paper, but end up sucking. 45 wins max.

    I think ~45 games and 5-7 seed.
They still have the same problems. Even if they are healthier, I don't see a huge improvement. And will they be healthier? Lack of depth results in wear and tear.

I'd take Heat, Celtics and Pacers over them.
Bulls should be there too, at least during the regular season.
Then there's the group of the Nets, the Knicks and the 76ers. In any order.

5-6 seed. I think they'll be ok. Maybe win 1 playoff series.
    BTW, thread needs poll.

Probably fifth seed, and then get knocked out by the Brooklyn Nets. All their fans, foaming at the mouth and seeing red, will then damn the franchise yet again, for letting Lin leave.

    It will be glorious.

Philly, Pacers, Nets could all potentially do much better than them.

About like last year. Get to the playoffs, and then fizzle.

They are a top defensive team lmfao. 5th in defensive efficiency last season and even better under Woodson. 18-6 run under Woodson and with a depleted roster at that. Poor offense due to having Baron Davis and Mike Bibby run the point due to Lin being injured.

I dont see Melo and Stat gelling and working together. They dont really make teammates better.

I see them as 7th again.

They're still not going to be that much better than last season, if even.

Jason Kidd won't do much for them...and their PG position is weak.

They are not as good at point guard as they were with Lin. Amare and Chandler are a year older and Fields is gone as well.

40-47 wins and 1st round fodder.

Again, on paper this team looks like it has all the right pieces. But as was the case last year, you can't just instill a bunch of players every year and expect them to glue right away. Injuries, trades, and locker room problems limited any chance we had at seeing the true potential of that team last year, why should we think this year will be any different with an aging team of injury plagued and frankly, out of shape players?

IMO if they can get the team chemistry down and stay healthy, I see them about 4th seed in the East and winning 1 playoff series, but no real threat to the Heat

Probably 5-6 seed knocked out in the 1st round. Don't see melo taking them anywhere.

It's a great team with bad chemistry. And it seeming more and more that the second things is just as important as the first.
