I'm sure the lakers are really concerned about us right now. Embarrassing thread is embarrassing. I hope no laker fans are reading it.
What kind of idiot actually can say with a straight face that the Rockets are "Matching Up" with Lin and Lamb(no disrespect to them) to probably the greatest true PG of all time not named Magic Johnson or Oscar Robertson and the 2nd greatest NBA player to ever play the game??? And thats just the backcourt.... Im not saying the Rockets couldn't be a thorn in the Lakers side for a couple of games during the season, but if the Lakers lose against the Rockets this year, its pretty much because they beat themselves one way or another. Not because the Rockets players are better matchup's or however you want to swing it.
Every single CF thought the Lakers will win at this match up. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=215168 People never learn......
btw, how are the Rockets being marketed around town atm? is it all Lin? Kevin Martin? Some combination? Are there any rookie billboards?
[QUOTE I'm using the lineups I think would best matchup with...I think that our team actually matches up well and we are much deeper. How do you guys think we match up with the Lakers.[/QUOTE] Im sorry but the Rockets are not deeper than the Lakers. The Rockets indeed have a lot of young talent but none of them is proven while the Lakers have the entire starting lineup of all stars or recent all stars player. We are deeper in having much more young prospects but that's it.
Old Nash >>> Young Lin Old Kobe >>>>>>>>Young Lamb Young Parsons >> Old Metta Old Gasol >>>> Young DMo Prime Howard >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Prime Asik We lose. Not close.
Asik looks good in that picture. handsome or not hard to judge, but very interesting look. reminds me of some actor, but i can't figure out who...
i think he means the bench depth. the Rockets backups are much more talented than the Lakers' ones. Basically, a washed up Jamison, Steve Blake, Jordan Hill and crap... vs.... Kevin Martin, Patterson, Carlos Delfino, Livingston, Tony Douglas and some youngsters (Terrence Jones, Royce White). even if we are more realistic than OP and replace rookies in the starting lineup with vets (Kevin Martin over Lamb, Patterson over Donatas), the Rockets are still deeper.
