You can still listen to the full album on the site. http://radio.myanimalhome.net/ You can either listen to it as all one big track (which works a bit better because it flows together really well, but it doesnt tell you which song you are on) or by individual song Definitely more like the earlier stuff, not very much like MPP at all Very "busy", lots of stuff going on it. I really like it though. The first and last track are perfect to start it off and end it, the last 2 -3 minutes are amazing. "Today's Supernatural", "Applesauce", "Wide Eyed", "New Town Burnout", and "Monkey Riches" are all awesome. I don't think there was any song I particularly disliked ("Rosie Oh" had to kind of grow on me though). I've listened about twice all the way through, and re-listened to my favorite tracks multiple times, but I'll give it some time to sink in (and for a better quality download) before ranking it with the other albums. Reading around, the type of people who only liked MPP seem to not be big fans of this one, while the people who liked the earlier stuff seem to love it, if that tells you anything. I have tickets to see them in New Orleans next month, I was kinda questioning that decision for a while since I knew the set would be composed mostly of the new album, but now I'm excited again, I want to hear these songs live.

Just downloaded this, gonna give it a listen in a little while. My two most anticipated albums of this year came out a day after each other, thats pretty awesome
just finished listening to this. seems that the virtues of the first album are now merely a style, the desperation and urgency are gone. the sense that at any minute one of them was gonna slit their wrists, that quality we all find so endearing, is gone. oh well, success is boring folks. maybe a heroin addiction would help.
T.Rex- Electric Warrior <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/umCE-Jb3v5U?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Hey Kidcave9 - Electric Warrior is cool. I always liked The Slider a little better, but sometimes it's the one you found first... That image on Electric Warrior reminds me of a way old Houston Rock club called 'On The Border' on Airline I think. Maybe Deckard remembers it. It was close to where I spent my early misspent youth. Copy bands were big back then but every now and then new national acts would come thru. I remember seeing the Ramones with the Runnaways backing them up there. Everyone just sorta stood back to the wall in confusion. Sorry to derail your post bro - I been hitten the hairspray - Oh Yeah, listening to Grizzly Bear as I type. Good Stuff!
you're right, this is the first t.rex album I've listened to; I haven't had the chance to listen to the slider. I'm always down for the glam
Brings back great memories thegary - XTC is in rare (really rare) form here but it's The Dead Kennedys that bring it home. Very good stuff. I know this will sound made up but I met Jello (from the Dead Kennedys) at a gig I was playing at in San Francisco - The Wagon Wheel I think. Unbelievably nice guy - He was in LARD then.
Bloc Party - Four Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffitti - Mature Themes Animal Collective - Centipede Hz I was a little underwhelmed at first with "Four" but it did get better as I listened through it. Hopefully, on repeated listens, it will prove its worth. The Ariel Pink one is a good one on first listen - don't know if it is as good as the last one. As for AnCo, I have listened to it all the way through twice (from the link that Astros had posted). I didn't really like the first half but really enjoyed the second half. On my second listen, I enjoyed it even more than the first. For some reason, it reminds me a lot of "Feels" as it is one of those albums that just gets better and better after each listen. "Monkey Riches" is in my top 5 AnCo songs of all-time along with "Loch Raven", "For Reverend Green", "Fireworks", and "Also Frightened". I can only hope and pray that Grizzly Bear's newest (due out about a month from now) is this good and will be available as a leak.
