Texas no longer has to fund baby killing factory, yet preserves poor women's care

Given that money is fungible, isn't every dollar the state gives PP for say, cancer screenings, an extra dollar from other sources that they can apply toward providing abortions (or any other service)?

 

The Women's Health Program will continue. The Judge just affirmed Texas' right to withhold funding to anyone affiliated with elective abortions (except Hospitals). It basically says Texas is allowed to withhold money from Planned Parenthood who is the major entity affiliated with abortions. There is still a Women's Health Program, and it still helps economically disadvantaged women.

 

Yes because that is exactly what Perry wanted to do. Eliminate all health care for poor women...

No, homeless in China does not correspond to our Women's Health Program in America. Homeless is homeless, but we're not discussing the homeless. We're discussing poor women receiving necessary medical coverage, which they still will receive, just not from Planned Parenthood.

I would guess it is cheaper as a society to offer free abortions to poor women, but too many people feel it is murder to make that a reality. I don't see how not funding them, or funding abortion clinics hurts those not seeking an abortion. If the other clinics become crowded I would think that would be rectified quickly.

Anyone who thinks Perry has any intention of "making up for the loss of federal funds" to keep the clinic going is truly, genuinely, and without a doubt, abso-****ing-lutely r****ded.
