I'm not sure how many of my fellow clutch fan brethren are sneaker heads/collectors/connoisseurs (or whatever you guys may call yourselves) but any one else think 315$ for Lebrons are a bit much? It may or may not be Lebron, but rather Nike thats up to it but c'mon. Not only are the lebrons up in price but shoes in general are. Interesting read: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390444233104577593623581068492.html?mod=googlenews_wsj would you buy these?
Nike does the pricing, not LeBron. Still, I wouldn't pay that much for them. I still have my CP3 II with white/gold/black and they're in great condition. Spoiler
I agree. Sneaker enthusiasts will for sure buy those. I mean those Jordan Golden Moments pack of sneakers sold out super quick. $360+tax for 2 pairs of Js. But still Lebrons for $315? thats insane, and they are not even custom!!!!
I don't have a pulse on the current market for basketball shoes but if they price is up then they've actually had a recovery. Just look at the re-releases of some of the Foamposites, Flightposites, Penny's, etc... they're actually cheaper now than they were when they originally came out over 10 years ago. And that's just a quick example.
It's the hype beasts that caused all this. Cheaper material in Jordans yet jump in prices. Couldn't justify spending 315 on a single pair
also, there's another KD vs 'Bron tie in. Durant, ever since getting his own signature shoe instead of PE's; specified that all he cared about was that the shoe fit snug like a glove, that they were comfortable and affordable. His shoes were always around the 85-90$ range which isn't exactly the cheapest but compared to others they really are. Performance wise I've loved them, great fit and traction
The problem is all his shoes are ugly as ****. I wouldn't even pay $20 for those things. If you're going to make them that expensive, at least get someone who isn't a blind quadriplegic to design them.
Ill take that money and go by some nice dress shoes that will actually last a hell of a lot longer then these ugly shoes.
LOL! $315 for shoes? And then people wonder why the economy is so bad... "buying" unnecessary stuff... LOL!
huh? The reason the economy is bad is because people/companies haven't been buying as much unnecessary stuff as before.
