Same case with the Steelers. Luck is proving his worth, albeit just 2 preseason games. Indiana is so damn lucky to get 2 QBs like that b2b.
Let's hold off on the Luck knobslobbing until the bullets are live. I believe that he's going to be a solid QB, but I want to see him when the lights are at their brightest before I declare that the Colts have their man for the next decade.
Yeah, I'm interested to see how well he'll do against a regular season NFL defense. He has to play the Jags and Texans defense 4 times, both great defenses. Reacting to pass rush is what I'm really interested to see. If he can handle the Texans pass rush, he's legit.
Tom Brady, Jerod Mayo, Brandon Lloyd, Aaron Hernandez, Wes Welker, and Rob Gronkowski will not play tonight.(PHI/NE--ESPN)
Injured again? Didn't he have an (albeit minor iirc) injury earlier this preseason? Hey Mike, forget the dynasty and super bowl talk, just stay healthy for once.
Hurt his thumb last week. Looks like possible broken ribs now. Waiting on x-ray results. One thing, Phillip Hunt, the Houston Cougar sack machine, is looking awesome so far this preseason. Babin better watch out or his starting spot may just be taken some time this season.
UPDATE: X-rays on Vick's ribs negative. He will not return tonight. Let's keep him limited the rest of the way.
Good to hear it doesn't appear serious. To your point about Hunt(and the DEs), ha, Adam Schefter just said the same. "Any team looking for a DE, and many are, contact the Eagles." I just call it the Jim Washburn effect. Seemingly gets the best out of anyone/everyone. ... I think Babin is safe.
On Twitter? LOL! That may be true, definitely a difference since he came aboard. I think Babin's roster spot is safe this year but if Hunt continues to play at this level all years, Babin is expendable especially with 3 years, $15 million left on that contract.
Ha yeah, he said it on twitter. Babin, yeah, is probably safe this year. Who knows about next year. ... And 3 yrs 15 mil left on the contract, what's that to Philly? Chump change.
Yeah right now because they are $14+ million under the cap but they're projected to be pretty well over next year's cap number, I think by about $16 million.
To add to this, Vick might want to keep an eye over his shoulder as well. I know these are backups but Foles has looked good for 2 straight games as well.
