I think Bryant Johnson has the inside track. Experience and he's a true receiver. I think Johnson can do better than 6 catches for the year (what Andre and Walter can get in one game). He did have a 40 yard catch and 1 TD within those catches.

Though just by last year's production-
Bryant Johnson's SIX total catches in 15 games within the system?
Or 6 token tosses to Holliday to see if he breaks a couple of them?

Its not like Johnson has irreplaceable production that even a token receiver couldnt match. If the coaching staff didnt think so, they wouldnt even have Holliday out there challenging in his 3rd chance.

    Andre
    Walter
    Martin
    Jean
    Posey
    B Johnson

    until Holliday proves otherwise.

I just don't see any way Bryant Johnson makes this team. He just isn't very good. There will be many receivers who will be cut before Week 1 that Texans could claim who are much better than Johnson.

Two returns during the preseason seals the deal. You don't let go of that playmaking ability.

Devier Posey early favorite to get mystery IR'd.

Agreed. This team probably can't get more perfect than this. Offense, Defense and Special Teams all look top flight.

I bet Jacoby was giving Holliday KR/PR advice the last two seasons.

    Andre Johnson
    Kevin Walter
    Lestar Jean
    Keshawn Martin
    Devier Posey
    Trindon Holliday

Barring a major development, these 6 are locks.me.

Trindon Holliday has shown so much explosion they have to take him as a return specialist.

Devier Posey was high 3rd rd pick, he's not getting cut.

Johnson has shown me no reason to take him over Posey's upside anyhow.

Realistically i think this descison has already been made, the only question was Holliday, and thats not a question anymore.

I think this is spot on. Trindon had to do it again, and he did. I would be very happy with those 6 as the final

I seriously think Johnson was only brought in because he knows the system and the play book. He's the just in case factor if one of the young guys can not figure out the system. I look for him to get cut and put on stand by just in case of a injury.

I was thinking the same thing after Lance Z. said something about it a couple of weeks ago.

But then I thought, wait, players on IR can't even practice with the team. Are they really going to make Posey miss a 2nd straight year of football after spending a 3rd rd pick on him?

Holliday might be a one trick pony, but it is a pretty damn good trick.

Random question, but what ever happened to Dwight Jones - WR from UNC?

That is why I think he won't get placed on IR. He won't be able to practice so you would be wasting a year of development. I think you will see a lot of Posey in the 4th preseason game.

I think they should also work the guy into the offense. He could be hell on a reverse, even as a decoy he could have value.Defenses have to be wary when speed like that is on the field.

Heh, he's like the opposite of Manning. No sense in getting him injured on reverses and trick plays; leave him healthy for returns.
