Nah you can read his blog posts for free and get good value. You can find his ebooks out there on torrents. I wouldn't buy if I were you.

You could start your own internet business though if you want to have freedom like him. Just a thought. Or you can just talk crap and do nothing which is probably the most likely.

Talk about over-generalization and self aggrandizing

The irony is you talk about personal "expansion" yet your ideals of success are in a narrow parameter. Just you and your certain group patting each other on the back. And shaming everything else that isnt your subjective standard. That then makes you elite and rare and seeing things that "other's don't see". Its really classic definition of over-enlightened.

If someone stops their schooling and career advancement to take care of their family and siblings who have issues, causing them to not widen their reach and not having as much to show for it, and maybe the pressures are too much and they even succumb a little, does that make them "zombies" to the American way? How do you know who's actually sacrificed and who's "dogging" it?

Many reactions in this thread are really over the top.
Is the US the worst place to life? No ofcourse not.
Is the US by far the best place to life? No.
The US is one of the best places to life, depending on what you like. But there are many more great countries to life in.

I know many people (I work with students) who want to life in a foreign country when they are young (because they idiolize other cultures). But than after a periode of 6 months that they spend there they realize that those other cultures also have their drawbacks, like every country does.
