Came across this artical on SWR and had in advance a vote to test. You can tell what's coming next season. I think it safe to say we will have a Rocket in the ASG next season. http://www.sportsworldreport.com/ar...-rockets-rumors-2012-jeremy-lin-superstar.htm
He is a superstar in term of popularity, not on-court performance. Nothing wrong to root for a player for non-basketball reason. The reason many fans support their term is not for basketball reason too. They just love their city.
He is popular and he has talent. I think we should all just leave it at that. Superstar, star, all star all of that is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
su·per·star (soo·per-stär) n. 1. A widely acclaimed star, as in movies or sports, who has great popular appeal. 2. One that is extremely popular or prominent or that is a major attraction.
Not only 95% but just so you don't think the numbers are skewed, there were over 2500 people who voted yes....lmbo
Haha! That was detailed enough. So in the definition we have Super-Star, Normal-Star, Less-Star, and a 3 Fan-Star. What's the popularity number to be in Super-Star status tho. I went to Steve Nash's FB and he had like 1.9 mil likes, and Jeremy Lin with 1.8. So Lin only needs 10k more likes to become a Super-Star? Maybe I'm wrong but I loved Sylvester Stallone and he can't act woth ****. Both of them are Super-Stars in my book.
That is what I am saying. The word superstar has lost all meaning. He is a starter in the NBA, that is saying something, considering there a lot of guys that are trying to even be a 15th man.
If your anti-Lin are really clicking on that article? I say it skewed that mostly Lin fan voted. Still baring injuries I would bet he make All-star due to his popularity.
You know his name. I know his name. Almost everyone knows his name. Yes, he's a superstar in the music field.
