After 2 bad seasons the writers look like they might be back on their grizzly! I love where it looks like they're taking it... The season with Save the Last Dance was just extremely underwhelming and bland compared to the season before it and the Doomsday killer felt like a bad M. Night movie twist. I really want Dexter to get back to being a fantastic show
So this show is about a serial killer that kills serial killers? How good is it compared to Breaking Bad?
Compares nothing of the such...seasons 5,6 were not that great....the others specifically the "trinity killer" were amazing. Dexter is 7/10 Breaking bad is 11/10 The Wire 9.87/10
Yeah the First season of Dexter is one of the high on the list of greatest first seasons ever. 2nd and 3rd didn't disappoint and the 4th was SPECTACULAR =o Then it's like they secretly swapped all of the writers with some Dexter auteurs for the 5th and 6th seasons. But damn @ the trailer for the new season.. Looks very promising.
yikes. not even close, and i suggest nobody listen to this if you haven't seen both. i've never seen glee, but if somebody were debating to watch glee or sopranos, i'd tell them to watch glee.
I'm excited. For me season 2 was miles ahead of the rest... partly because Doakes and Lundy were awesome, but more because Dexter was being chased by the cops. If Deb connects the dots and figures out that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher after all... well... wow. Should be great. Can't wait to see what they do with it.
I strongly disagree, I know a couple of people that would agree with you though. The sopranos is great but its way too slow. A lot of nothing goes on. Breaking bad is pieced together much better.
Jeez why is the trinity season held up as the best? Honestly my fav seasons were 1-3, they gave so much feeling and connection to Dex opposed to his family (which were fiercely annoying) Is it me of is debz acting really sucking? Last season she was really weird and now shes doing all these awkward cheesy faces.
I have never watched The Shield, or Game of Thrones. My friends say they are great so I look forward to watching them one day. Right now in my book..... The Sopranos is probably my favorite show. I was never one of those people that felt down on a few of the seasons. I really love it but the emotional highs and lows are probably not as extreme as Breaking Bad. A few TV show moments I will always remember. Little Girl is a Zombie (The walking Dead), Todd shoots boy (Breaking Bad last week), Big p***y on the boat (The Sopranos). The greatest (again IMO) was the Dexter season 4 scene at the end. I also think that may be the best season of any show all time. But for longevity and when looking at the entire series.. The Sopranos is number 1 for me.
Yo TdashDUB, a Dexter Season 7 thread has already been made(by me). http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=223262 You on my turf, I make all Dexter threads in the hangout. Back on topic, I felt that season 4 was overrated. It had one of the best cliffhangers but Dexter's sloppiness was unbearable at times and the show got a little repetitive until the twist. This season looks very promising, I liked that they're bringing details/evidence from both season 1 ,2 and etc, something that the last two seasons lacked. However, I am not keeping my hopes up cause anyone can make a badass trailer and I have no faith in these bad writers. One of biggest plot holes, like it or not, was in season 2. In the early episodes, they put emphasize on rocks from the pier where Dexter kept his boat. Then towards the end, when the police department realizes that the Bay Harbor Butcher was one of them(down to like 10 people), they completely ignored the rocks and the boat. They could've been like " who owns a boat in our department in that pier?" and say "oh dexter has a boat! he is the bay harbor butcher! arrest that sick f**k!". I seriously doubt the other characters own boats, they didnt show them having boats. other than that, season 2 was great!
