Yo, CAUGHT UP b****ES! (and it only took me 6 days to watch every episode) FINALLY I can throw some speculation about where the show is headed. The Ricin is still there. We've seen the watch and the metaphor for the "ticking time bomb" Mike described Walt as. At some point, I think the time bomb goes off...and soon. My own theory is that Hank finds the items in his office, runs the prints...puts 2 and 2 together and starts to finally close in on Walt. Walt figures this out (somehow) and puts together a plan to poison Hank with the Risin at some family dinner...but somehow the Risin ends up being consumed by Walt Jr. Time bomb goes off....but this time its Skylar.
this is the first show I've ever really gotten into completely. Its easily winning best drama series, season 4 was flawless, and cranston should get the nod for best actor again.

I'm just having a hard time accepting that Walt was dumb enough to plant bugs in Hank's office and leave his fingerprints in the process when he was mostly meticulous in the other events up to this point about cleaning and getting rid of evidence. I just don't find it believable that he would forget about that...unless Hank finds out and Walt was expecting to return to collect the bugs. Otherwise, we are expected to believe that Walt thought his bugs would go undetected forever and that is just too absurd to believe for the Walt character.
Walt Jr. ends up killing Hank for renting Heat on Blu Ray. Then he and Marie are taken out by a car bomb planted by Lydia and Mike meant for Hank and Walt. Skylar sends the baby to a shelter and drinks a bottle of rat poison. Jesse gets shot in the back by Todd after a disagreement about whose kill was more ****ed up. Walt skips town with fat sacks
Nitpicky...can someone tell me how they knew exactly where the train car would be located to position the tanks? My understanding was that they wouldn't know the location of the car until Lydia was able to see the manifest. Jesse took measurements, so basically they could have adjusted where the track blockage occurred (and assumed the train would stop exactly at that location). The hoses could have also been long enough, but if the car was closer to the engine that would have made it near impossible. Anyway, it all seemed pretty convenient. Most of the time I probably wouldn't even think twice about it, but typically the attention to detail is one of my favorite things about the show. I guess the easy explanation is that from the beginning they knew exactly where the car would be relative to the train length. And Lydia's job was really just to know what train the methylamine would be on. Just seems unlikely that trains would be uniformly configured every time, but I don't know much about cargo trains.
I was thinking about that also, there really isn't a way they could have coordinated the distance between the main engine and the railcar containing the methlymine without having advanced knowledge of the manifest, which Lydia mentioned she would not have access to until a few hours prior to the train's departure.
Isn't that the reason they had longer hoses? The water and methylamine tanks needed to be hidden out of view which is why Jesse said the location under the bridge was "PERFECT". Anyway I feel they can easily explain that theory. What made me raise an eyebrow was how the train was able to stop the way it did when it saw the truck stalled on the tracks. I'm not a physicist but I know a machine weighing thousands of tons cannot stop on a dime, and come to a perfect stop few feet away from the stalled truck (as if a car coming to a red light). I've also seen "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3" From what I understand, a train of that size require a mile or more of train track to come to a complete stop with emergency braking. The logic doesn't make sense to me that there would be enough visibility at the train's cab to see a stalled truck 1 mile or more away.
Hank's super intuition works on everyone BUT WALT. Hank can smell a person's coffee and know they are dirty but Walt could offer him some Meth and he would not suspect him. So I seriously doubt Hank would trace anything back to Walt not on his own . . . If Gomez found it .. maybe but then he'd dismiss him as stupid and remain clueless I just figured it was one of several cars with Meth on it. So they would not have to be too too precise So If you know the train has 20 cars and half are meth . .. . you can guestimate Rocket River

But this blog also must acknowledge that this is undeniably the best truth-meets-TV connection since an actual dude named Omar Little, a.k.a Omar from “The Wire,” was arrested in Baltimore earlier this year. Oh, and one more thing. I’m obviously not an expert in crime solving or prevention. But if I were a cop in Tuscaloosa, I would totally be checking my evidence room right now to make sure it had not been magnetically compromised. Just sayin’.
