    What are the chances?

What if Lin actually lives up Linsanity, the Rockets draft picks turn out to be gems, Morey hits on his draft picks like usually does, & gets more gems out of this years draft picks, & Lin ask Yao to make another run in the nba as a back up?

We know Lin & Yao have some kind of relationship, Yao is only 32, he's made his money already, what if Yao is so jelly about how the rockets are doing, Lin is blowing up, Lin convinces Yao, lights a fire in his msg infested belly & Yao makes a comeback?

What if Lin & many important members of the organization convinces yao?

Would you be for or against it?

I'd personally prefer Hakeem to come back. But sure, I'd take Yao if Hakeem doesnt.

Yao turns 32 in a month.

He wouldn't be back this season. At the earliest, he'd be back next season, at 33 years of age, and that doesn't include getting his timing back, but just in basketball shape.

I'll pass on finally getting Yao back at 33 and a half years of age.

Chinese are smart folks yet the collective IQ level of this board drops several notches when they join this BBS.

im not chinese. im not even asian.

you wouldnt want yao as a back up making the minimum? he can easily average 10 a game on his shooting alone.

Its not like we are gonna be tailoring our franchise around him.

All I read is 'What if...' 'What if...' 'What if...'

Yao is done. Let him have life after basketball. Let it go.

That would have been the silver lining.

A few seasons of extended torture when it was clear he was done for was not enough for you?
