Funny way to put it "... so the election will not be decided on that." as if to say "If you all knew what we are hiding we would totally lose, so you won't catch us divulging THAT information."
What’s really funny is she thinks this has anything to do with complying with the “law”. No Ann it’s about establishing trust with the American people. You and your husband are failing.
Slowly getting somewhere.... Mitt Romney: 'I Never Paid Less Than 13 Percent' In Taxes From the pool report of the event: "I just have to say, given the challenges that America faces – 23 million people out of work, Iran about to become nuclear, one out of six Americans in poverty – the fascination with taxes I’ve paid I find to be very small-minded compared to the broad issues that we face. But I did go back and look at my taxes and over the past 10 years I never paid less than 13 percent. I think the most recent year is 13.6 or something like that. So I paid taxes every single year. Harry Reid’s charge is totally false. I’m sure waiting for Harry to put up who it was that told him what he says they told him. I don’t believe it for a minute, by the way. But every year I’ve paid at least 13 percent and if you add in addition the amount that goes to charity, why the number gets well above 20 percent."
That is the Romney way: http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/03/mitt-i-wont-detail-plans-because-then-id-lose.html
"One of the things I have found in previous elections is that announcing my plans makes people want to vote against me!"
You think any of them have offshore accounts? I think so. I want their tax records for the last 10 years.
Located at http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2011/11/1...wealthiest-members-of-congress-are-democrats/ A simple glance at the front page of this site tells you pretty much all you need to know. I could be wrong though - JD88 could have picked this up from a Freeper thread. Also, whether this particular slant is true or not, the important question is: Did the wealthiest members of Congress have their fortunes before or after they started serving in the federal government?
Romney now says his federal tax rate has never dropped below 13% in the last ten years. PUT UP OR SHUT UP
He thinks it is over.... He talked about it, so it is over.... This election will not be determined by his tax returns, he already talked about it!!!
REID RESPONDS! “We'll believe it when we see it!” "We'll believe it when we see it. Until Mitt Romney releases his tax returns, Americans will continue to wonder what he's hiding. Romney seems to think he plays by a different set of rules than every other presidential candidate for the last thirty years, all of whom lived up to the standard of transparency set by Mitt Romney's father and released their tax returns," -- Reid spokesman Adam Jentleson
Seems so long ago... Mitt Romney Booed For Waffling On Releasing Tax Returns during Republican Debate (and promising to release them in April if he's the nominee) <div style='text-align:left'> <object width='560' height='345' id='FiveminPlayer' classid='clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000'> <param name='allowfullscreen' value='true'/> <param name='allowScriptAccess' value='always'/> <param name='movie' value='http://embed.5min.com/517250766/'/> <param name='wmode' value='opaque' /> <embed name='FiveminPlayer' src='http://embed.5min.com/517250766/' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' width='560' height='345' allowfullscreen='true' allowScriptAccess='always' wmode='opaque'> </embed> </object> <br/> </div>
So one elected position has to, but the people who make laws and pass bills do not because they're not running for president? Makes sense.
Then just dont believe it. Even if he did and everything was squeaky clean (which I doubt it is) then they will just make up some other excuse about how its not complete, or its been doctored, or some other records he has to show. They wont believe it no matter what he releases, just like Obama's birth certificate. He released that and what did it get him? Absolutely nothing. So whats the point?
