Hernandez has not been playing well, he looks fat (we lost because your fat). I hate the flopping:mad:

^ That's the best you have?

I won't say "but this was a friendly" or "but this game doesn't even count" or "you played our B team"... like you all do. We didn't want it and the United States wanted it more, albeit with worse football. You won fair and square.
    :(

    Well, congrats, DD.

Show me the post again where anyone said the US played well.

We can be happy for the win...something no US team has ever done. None of us are pretending it was anything but a fluke. mexico dominated possession. Maybe if they'd stay on their feet more and shoot anywhere in the vicinity of the goal, we'd be talking about another mexico win. Instead, they took 15 shots with a whopping 3 on goal. Tim Howard made 2 saves...the same number as the mexican keeper. The US won because the mexican team couldn't hit the ocean from the beach.

My one problem with him last night was his positioning. Klinsmann kept having to tell him to stay back and not follow Hernandez into the midfield. Nearly every time he did that, mexico played a through-ball in behind Cameron. Luckily, not only couldn't they shoot, they couldn't complete a pass in that 1/3 of the field.

Glad to see the win, if for nothing else to get the monkey off their back.

did you miss the part where i said congrats, twice...

if i was a usa fan i would be happy too, you did something you've never done. but it was ugly you can't deny. i mean a professional team (albeit green) should be able to complete more than 2-3 passes. i'm telling you it was ugly.

I dunno, maybe it's because I'm new to soccer, but I think having a good team down in Mexico is what is needed to continue the growth of the USMNT program. As long as we feel that we're behind Mexico, the guys in charge will stay focused on improving all levels of development which will, hopefully, improve the senior team going forward to Brazil 2014.

Having Mexico and the US be strong contenders to make the quarterfinals (or beyond) in Brazil should be the goal. If they can help each other by providing good competition on and off the pitch, all the better in my opinion. Would love to see the US play with more possession and creativity which leads to more chances on goal.

You shouldn't let hate dictate your life, it makes you seem petty.

You said congrats then proceeded to try and tell us what a ****ty game we played.

But really, how stupid do you guys feel for allowing us to play a friendly there and winning? Cause that's pretty ****ing hilarious.

an international friendly the US won 1-0 is nothing to write home about. I think people are just excited that the national team no longer has that pathetic winless record in Mexico anymore.

it also crushed the morale of the Mexican fans....

I don't care how many children's leagues they win, they still aren't world class at the national level and this game drove that home.

:confused: i don't even know how to reply. i don't hate the us team, in fact the good players i praised but also pointed out your other players couldn't make a 10 yard pass. surely you saw that. you truly are being ludicrous.
