I'm taking Martell Webster with my last pick. Good defense, good 3 point shot. $600,000 Kyrie Irving Thabo Sefalosha/Manu Ginobili Lebron James/Martell Webster Paul Millsap/Taj Gibson Andrew Bogut Salary 64,987,695 Done.
Keep the dudley deal official and I'll accept/decline in the next half hour or so. I need to go do something
i don't know what free agency means in this case. you get to cut someone and pick someone else? i don't mind it. it's much better than disqualifying someone after days of drafting, that would be just a bummer. also, i'm sure you aren't alone over cap, there are guys who have been insisting on using hoopshype for some reason and have their salaries wrong. i think we should restrict it to minimum (under 1 mil) players though. you cut someone, you get a pick and you can sign a minimum guy. this way guys who managed it better keep some advantage, and it doesn't get abused with people cutting some crappy pick who doesn't make sense or doesn't fit and sign a Wes Matthews or Scola or some other solid player. and do it after the trading deadline. so that this new cap space can't then be used to build a powerhouse via trades.
Martell Webster was cut from the Wolves though, the 600k was just the guaranteed part of his salary, not full. not sure if that's allowed.
Don't see why it wouldn't be? Was told hoopsworld was what we were to base things off of. People here said otherwise it would be too complicated. If not, a multitude of people including those who picked up Delonte West, or Antwan Jamison would be over the cap right now.
i guess. i agree. have to have consistency. we started down this stupid path, so now we have to finish it. next time, we should just use a different source altogether, or use it properly. we are basically abusing hoopsworld right now and using blatantly wrong salaries and signing players who aren't even in the NBA.
haha i say lets vote on the post-trading salary cut i suggested. otherwise Jamers is bound to win!
