That's what I did with my 11th overall pick. Took Peterson but hoped for McFadden to fall to the 3rd, which he didn't.

Hey guys, I'm going to be playing FF for the first time and I have been playing with the mock draft a little bit. What do you guys think of the two teams I ended up picking?

    1st team:
    QB: A.Rodgers A.Luck
    RB: D.Murray F.Jackson B.Tate
    WR:V.Jackson T.Smith J.Blackmon D.Bess J.Ford
    TE:A.Hernandez H.Miller
    DEF:pHI CIN
    K:M.Prater

    2nd:
    QB:T.Brady M.Schaub
    RB:C.Johnson B.Wells L.Blount B.Tate
    WR:V.Cruz W.Welker P.Harvin R.Meachum M.Floyd
    TE: A.Gates J.Gresham
    DEF:BAL
    K: D.Bailey

Any words of advice for a rookie in FF? Thanks.

How many teams drafted? I feel like you're taking a QB2 too early.

Your 2nd team is a lot better, first team is weak at almost every position but QB.

The first mock draft, there are 14 people including me, and in the second mock draft, there were 10 including me. I believe I got Luck in the 11th round and Schaub in the 12th round.

The thing I am really unsure about is who to draft for the bench.

I don't hate the Shaub pick but its hard to trade in fantasy and he'll only get what... 1 start?

I got the #1 pick in my league for the first time. I'm wondering if this is really a good thing. I feel more comfortable drafting around 10-12.

There are only two, possibly three players, I'd consider drafting 1st overall. Calvin Johnson, Aaron Rodgers.

Drafting #1 overall is actually not that bad of a proposition this year. First of all, the guys behind you are going to be reaching for players like AJ Green, Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, Chris Johnson, Foster, Shady.

By the time it gets back around to you you are going to be able to draft guys that are very comparable in running backs and receivers but without all the reaching that the other teams are going to be faced with.

I can only keep 3 guys in my league out of Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson, and AJ Green...........

This sucks but I may have to let Andre Johnson go. What do you guys think?

    I'd let Peterson go personally.

All Day's season is shot. Johnson, Foster and Green SHOULD be productive this year.

I might eat my words on this one, but I wouldn't draft AP earlier than the 8th or 9th round. I'd take a flyer on him then.

I'd drop AP. He's 27, alot of miles, and he's coming off a pretty big injury. I don't really see him rebounding this year. I would try to trade him before I drop him. I know Andre is older and has a history of missing games, but I have a feeling he's going to have a great year.

Just finished up a draft with 12 people. I had the 12th pick and am fairly satisfied with my team. Got some great receivers, some nice sleepers, but also some boom or bust type players. Also made sure to rep the Texans with my yeam . What do you guys think?

    QB: Matt Schaub
    RB: MJD
    RB: Willis McGahee
    WR: Andre Johnson
    WR: Jordy Nelson
    TE: Owen Daniels
    D/ST: Baltimore Ravens
    K: Matt Bryant
    BENCH: Brandon Lloyd
    BENCH: Toby Gerhart
    BENCH: Steven Ridley
    BENCH: Michael Floyd
    BENCH: Jerome Simpson
    BENCH: Christian Ponder

Also, do you guys think it would be worth it to cut one of my bench players (probably Simpson) to get Lestar Jean or Keshawn Martin? I'm feeling one of them could blow up this season.

Nope. Your giving up two great and one solid players for one great (who is in a contract holdout) and one average player. Don't accept.

Solid draft. Only problem is Stevan Jackson and Reggie Bush could both be busts, but you have good depth behind them with Redman, Tate, Ingram. Also have a beast tight end and receiver.

You're already putting too many eggs in the Texans' basket, and you want to add potential sleepers at the 3rd/4th WR?

A guy in my work league 2 years ago had Schaub/Foster/Johnson and guess what happened every time the Texans had a bad offensive day?

I would try to trade away Schaub and Daniels. If the Texans have a lead, it'll be running game in the second half anyways.
