There are 5 spots, 48 mins a spot. There are injuries. Foul situations. Bad stretches. There's always going to be opportunity for either kind of player. You can't just throw rookies and 1-3 yr players in there for 48 mins and expect max development.

You need steady guys that can fill in holes and make it easier on the younger guys. You can't develop a scorer like Lamb, if picks aren't being set correctly. Dmo can't work in the post, if he gets bad entry passes. White can't throw dimes, if plays are breaking down.

When you go in a season and from beginning to end you are hoping for some sort of trade to happen ...your team is not doing to good.I have (for 3 years) never not wanted some sort of trade or change in line-up ( I'm sure in not the only one) .the need for a center being the more important and current one still not absolutely addressed. The heat, okc,Indy, s.a and unfortunately now the l a. Fakers fans are not questioning there line -up and anticipating countless trades.........we are and have been stuck in mediocrity for 3+ and add a year or two to that before its said and done. IT is what it is and you can shoot at the moon all you want. Eventually you have to hit a star .........and in the NBA time is money

Riiiight, Morey is blocking players from coming to Houston.

I think you've been reading that troll CDave's posts a little too much.

By staying mediocre, he is actively blocking superstars from coming to Houston. Morey is actively hurting this team with his moves.

LOL I thought Rockets was the only team that put a offer sheet to him. I did not know every team in NBA wants him.

you are upset about 3 years of being 14th seed .. let me ask you this how many years of directionless basketball/ losing basketball did the clippers and knicks engaged in before they got their deal. you have to look at the whole picture and not one aspect of it before making your point. you really want us to become the clippers or the knicks? you would like morey more if he was like their GM? lets get a grip on reality for a second

I would have agreed with you a couple months ago, when we actually were stuck in mediocrity, taking one step back for every step forward, refusing to go in full rebuild mode, and hoping to trade in a half-dozen Fords for a Ferrari.

I don't know if you've read a paper recently. Morey, who supposedly overvalues his players, just gutted the roster and got 50 cents on the dollar for the talent his sent out the door. We're no longer mediocre; we're just plain bad. Yeah, we wasted 3 seasons being mediocre and don't have much to show for it today, but it is now the dawn of a new era of tanking and drafting. You should have been dis-illusioned during the 2012 season and re-invigorated during the 2012 offseason, not the other way around.

Actually they like playing with other superstars. And how do we get that first superstar?

    Come on. You're almost there.

hahaha so its not the fact that superstars want to make super teams or go to popular cities like miami, ny, LA .. its bc they dont want to play for morey.. i got it! solution to breaking up super teams is getting rid of morey but ofcourse one has to consider then that if morey is gone we will have the problem of having too many superstars wanting to play here. What will we do when kobe, lebron, wade, dwight, paul, irving, melo, durant, westbrook all want to play for us

This is the most excited I have been to be a Rockets' fan in a while. So much young potential (and not the Terrence Williams' type of potential).

I am going to LOVE watching our young guys develop.

I look forward to watching Lowry, Dragic, Lee, Landry, Hayes' careers as well.

Prime directive is winning the chip.

In the last 5 years...how many NBA teams have won the chip?

    Spurs, Lakers, Mavs, Heat.

Two of which are in our own division!!!
    Three in our conference!

    This aint no easy road!

You can't hate on the dude for lack of effort.

If Mitch Kupcheck (spl.) were teh GM for the Rox, our team would be worse than when CD was GM after the Dream years.

Morey's plan is taking a while, but I cant see anyone doing better other than maybe Pat Riley.

Morey's plan is an actual plan.

    Machiavellian, even....
