Break down your top 8 mine is.... 1. LA Lakers 2. OKC 3. Spurs 4. Memphis (but got worse by losing key bench guys Mayo and Speights) 5. LA Clippers (but dont know how blake will comeback from injury) 6. Dallas (could flip with Houston) 7. Houston 8. Phoenix Fair weather fans need to move to the side
I know, that wasn't my point. It's when people are excited to get Jefferson and then people's replies say "Why would we do that! That's against the direction were going!" like there part of the front office and know exactly what the Rockets are trying to do.
Morey is trying to find Chandler Parsons a friend. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=7122262&postcount=136 Either that or he is trying to find his daughter a substitute in case Parsons gets traded.
All this talk of tanking is nonsense! It is very unlikely that this team will be the next OKC. To be like OKC, so may things have to work in your favour. What if portland selected durant? They would have been stuck with oden. If the heat selected westbrook, they would have been stuck with beasley. Contrary to popular belief, I think this team can make the playoffs next year. Last year, jones and lamb were projected to be top 10 picks. But they didn't declare for the craft. From the performance of the rookies in summer league, I think there is a chance that one of them can become an all-star. Also, lin has all-star potential too. Even parsons has great potential. If one of the young players becomes an all-star, we will become a playoff team. This will make the rockets more attractive and a marquee free agent can be added, which will make the rockets legitimate title contenders
The only way Morey's moves make sense is if he was making a "Howard/Bynum or rebuild" strategy (amnesty of Scola, letting Goran go, trading Lowry, etc.). So the move is superstar or "tank." Let me know what the point of adding a middling player is when you figure it out.
:grin::grin: Been following the Rockets long? Fifteen years = one playoff series victory. I don't know, it might just be me, but if they are so smart I kinda would have expected better results. Course I am just a humble fan, and they are the paid (possibly overpaid) professionals.
Come on. Stuff happens. The Rockets could be a great team without T-Mac and You injuries. But like I said, they aren't managing professional NBA basketball teams for no reason. Sure, they've made mistakes but they spend hours studying tape, scouting players, etc.
We're not "good" fans because we believe our subjective evaluation of the roster? So instead we should blindly believe that the team will make the playoffs when ALL relevant experts say otherwise and a simple eye-test says the same?
To be a competitive basketball team. I don't know why everyone thinks the only options are winning a championship with the leagues superstars or being the worst team in the league.
Delfino's a good player but I don't understand how he fits the rebuilding strategy. There just isn't enough minutes to go around if we want to develop our young talent. I m with Clutch, starting to get worried about a trade for a tier 2 star and staying on the mediocrity tredmill.
Forget about the Nuggets? And Pheonix is better than us this season. Same with Minny and potentially GState if they can be healthy.
