And you did? sorry to steal the same gif in same thread but

They are caricatures the same way if we had a poster named whitewizardhat and another one named countryboy.

Speaking of caricatures Jeff used to be like that and play the mister good guy role.. that role has now been assumed by batman jones.

Most people on the left don't believe rich people are evil. I'm far, far left and I don't believe that. However, many people on the left do believe that wealthiest sector of society has a disproportionate influence on our politics. And that influence has led, over the last 30-40 years, to an increasing concentration of wealth in the top few percent. This concentrated influence and wealth is bad for the majority of people in the U.S. economically and politically.

I'd like someone to explain to me how the Dems became class warfare people. The proposals by each party to address the budget:

Dems: Cut lots of services, raise taxes on the wealthy
    GOP: Cut lots of services

Service cuts always hit the poor and middle class more than the wealthy. Given this, Dems basically are making all groups (poor, middle class, wealthy) bear the burden. The GOP is asking the poor and middle class to carry all the burden. How does this translate into a war on the wealthy by the Dems?

I don't exactly know what this means. Jeff was a voice of reason in this forum, though he was more a centrist than am I. I didn't think he "played" the good guy; I thought he was a genuinely nice guy when he posted here. So I'll just take any comparison to/with him as a generosity and whistle on down the line.

And I do think I'm nicer since I started getting psychiatric care and stopped getting wasted all the time but that still doesn't mean I'm especially nice. IRL, sure; here, it depends. I try to be though.

    p.s.

    weslinder
Refman (though everything he says betrays him to be a Dem no matter how he votes)
    HayesStreet

I feel like there used to be a lot more but if I tried to name them now I'd get them mixed up with ones that aren't conservative.

These days weslinder is the best; he is a lifelong, dedicated Republican and a Texas one at that. He's also intelligent. He's also not a troll. I learn a lot about the other side's POV from him and a lot about local politics as well. And nobody ever has cause to get nasty with wes. He's just a good guy.

The results of this poll explain how Obama is even remotely in the race for re-election.

Those are two I should have added to my post, and there are more I'm forgetting. What bugs me is that they are largely "drowned out" by the Far-Right (pretend, or otherwise) trolls spamming the forum. Those trolls have made it difficult for anyone to have something resembling a conversation, in my opinion, at least on certain topics.

I am not going to vote in your poll since I generally don't like voting in polls about political definitions. I've been called everything on this forum from "closet conservative" to "contented moderate" to " rabid lefty" to "Moo Goo Gai Pan" so others have already set out to define me so I am a bit all over the place already.

I don't think HayesStreet was actually a rightwing poster but more a Wilsonian. He held some very strong Neo-Con views regarding national security and the use of US power but otherwise had some very liberal economic and social views.

Second on Weslinder as the he is a very smart guy and also a great guy in person.

I apologized almost immediately, and I wish you could let that sad moment of mine die. You are clearly much more Kung Pao anyway.

I don't come here often (usually get overwhelmed by the majority) I normally just do Rockets moves, but since you asked: I definitely consider myself to lean heavily to the right.

I like talking with you too, twhy. We probably agree on very little but I think you're one of the more interesting posters on the board.
