"Did you confront the guy you shot?" the Sanford Police Investigator William Ervin asked. "No," Zimmerman replied. After a few control questions, Ervin asks: "Were you in fear for your life when you shot the guy? Zimmerman doesn't hesitate, "Yes." http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...eo-20120621_1_questions-gated-community-ervin
Have you switched sides on this issue... because this article totally vindicates GZ. GZ didn't confront TM because TM confronted GZ with the warm greeting: "You got a problem!?"
according the GZ the liar.. also if true if some stranger aggressively follows me I would like to know who they are or what they're problem is unless you're saying "you've got a problem" = bullet in the chest
Just noting that even if Zimmerman believes everything he says so that he isn't lying isn't automatically grounds for his innocence. As noted repeatedly a lie detector test isn't admissible in court but also consider the other FL case that has been cited on this thread. Trevor Dooley fully believed and continued to insist that he shot James in self-defense and witnesses corroborated that he only shot him when James had lunged at him. Dooley was still convicted of manslaughter.
http://www.tampabay.com/news/courts/criminal/witnesses-dispute-trevor-dooleys-stand-your-ground-claim-in-valrico/1206308 A key witness and others also confirmed that Dooley initiated the aggression. In a day of anguished testimony, eyewitnesses who included the 14-year-old skateboarder consistently described Dooley as the aggressor who cursed his neighbor and flashed a pistol before a fatal struggle for the gun.
Glad you haven't jumped to any prejudicial conclusions! Why in the world would Trayvon then go and confront Zimmerman? Following "Have you got a problem?!" according to GZ Trayvon struck him to the ground, broke his nose, proceeded to pound his head into the ground and finally was making a move for Zimmerman's gun which resulted in the scuffle for possession of said gun and the ensuing shot fired into Trayvon. That is quite more than the simple verbal assault with which you limit Trayvon's involvement. Granted this is GZ's testimony but has anything in evidence contradicted or disproved it?
I'm guessing the trial will be right before the Nov. election and Zimmers prosecution will give the hotly contested state to Obama.
Yes, that is true. Wording makes it a little confusing, so I'll clarify. It has not been proven that GZ lied under oath. I believe his wife is facing potential perjury charges regarding their finances, but no perjury convictions have been issued. Therefore, no, it has not been proven that GZ lied under oath.
granwiz, is this article accurate yes or no? http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...judge-what-was-george-zimmerman-thinking.html
Again, you asked if it had been proven that GZ lied under oath. It has not. A judge asserted that he misled the court regarding his finances. That is not a conviction of perjury.
We were talking about the fateful events of the night Trayvon was shot; now you're talking about something completely different. Context Jumper.
He potentially misled. And it's not like he had a secret bank account. He had a paypal account that even I knew about just days after the event. Should he of mentioned it, yes, but that doesn't prove he intentionally lied about it. They were donations to his legal fees, it's reasonable to think he didn't think he needed to report the money because 1) the account was made public almost immediately, and 2) it was deliberately intended for his legal counsel and so maybe he thought it wasn't his money to report. Not to mention, bail is supposed to reflect the crime, not the accused's bank account.
yeah according to ZM's word so it's okay to question ZM's words. unless you are saying everyone who shoots someone and claims self defense should be believed and never doubted.
have you heard or read the transcript of the conversation between Zimmerman and his wife about his finances while he was in jail before the bond hearing?
Yes, something like 1 buck or 100 bucks meaning 100,000 dollars. Is his wife a judge? Did he lie to his judge-wife? You are proving to me that he knew how much money he had in the pay-pal donation account. That doesn't prove he intentionally lied about his finances to the judge. It suggests he did.
