Got in a fight with my wife over an arnold schwarzenegger poster. Is this war?

    how far should you let a woman dictate and control your style?

    also would you wear something crazy or dont like if a woman liked it ?? like a lady that ' likes guys that wear 10 gallon hats' so you have to walk around like a jackass in this big ass hat.

    It should be a business decision, not a marital decision. Is your wife part of the business? Is the father the boss? Can you build a sound business case to support the poster?

    How old are you? If you are older than 10 you probably shouldn't be putting up posters of movie stars on your wall. The only place acceptable for a poster like that is a gym, and even that looks kind of tacky.

    Business is a battlefield. Period. Business is about projecting an image of yourself and where you are going. Myth creates power, which creates value. This poster says you are a strong man, with a grenade, and a dagger. It says you are not afraid of conflict and you will face danger with a stern look in your eye. It also says to the WORLD, that you are not afraid to wear a military vest with no shirt underneath it -- anywhere you go. But most importantly, this poster says that you have the self assurance and strong sense of purpose that enable you to conduct your affairs sans underwear.

    The woman should have very little authority over the way you dress, just as you should not have any input in her clothing style. The only exceptions are if you look like a total idiot or if she looks like a complete skank.

    Yeah it would ultimately be a business decision which is why she wins. After reviewing you guys comments I agree it is not professional.

    The bigger picture thing here is a woman and the degree at which one lets the woman dictate style for the man. I dont really have the same taste in furniture and colors of the walls yet I let her have her way. In fact I cant stand some of it. I dont like some of the shoes she buys but oh well. It bothers me when the thought police and fashion police step in on me.

    It's a slippery slope towards complete checking out of all rights. The poster was a symbol of her trying to make a statement and pee on a piece of my turf mentally. Thats okay too, but the line needs to be drawn somewhere. I am inclined to put the poster up as protest to my rights but that might be being petty. Its not that I even like the poster all that much, it's more an attitude and mindset that needs to end now before it starts. Just wondering how you guys handle this. My wife is generally not a controlling girl but still one has to make sure to stand up in key moments as needed. Shes not about controlling me and I am not about controlling her. We dont get off on that, but this particular thing came up and it kinda bothered me. I dont ever tell her what to wear.

    haha that was funny. It's also funny that my posts lead you to believe I am indian. My wife is half indian (dad side is 100%)so hence the retail nature of their endeavours.

    That's very unprofessional and I would never have it in my office, especially in view where any customers can see. If it's a cubicle or office space type job then it's fine but if it's a real business where customers come in then this is very bad taste. Your wife should divorce you immediately.
