ha. with the move to the AL, sounds like you're going to end up hating 75% of the league.

perhaps. I've never cared a lick about the junior circuit. I'm still not happy with playing the likes of the Angels and A's and Rangers 100 times a year, and filling the rest with the Royals, Twins, and oh, 3 games a year with the Yankees.

all that and a DH. *yay*

It's a better brand of baseball. Pitching is that much more important since you don't have 2 easy out's every game.

nope, it's a gimmick brand of baseball. why not just reduce everybody's offense to their best 4 hitters and have them get every ab? pitching would be that much more important.

agree with cardpire. it's a 49-year-old gimmick that needs to go away.

pitchers and "DHs" only play half the game. I have more respect for 9-year-old little league baseball.

No waaay. The designated hitter corrupts the purity of an otherwise elegant game.

For me, liking the DH is equivalent to a video game mentality.

The AL sucks. No way is it a better brand of baseball. The games take way longer and there is no challenge in making substitutions. Baseball was meant ro be where everyone played the field and everybody bats. This DH crap is just a gimmicky crappy version of an otherwise awesome sport with subtle beauty.

This thread depressed me. :( The only good thing about the Astros being historically bad this year was that it had distracted me from what's to come next season.
