Since he was the last PG to get the MVP award.

I never said he was not good. He just isn't the best pg in the NBA. Nash has two MVP's. Parker has a finals MVP. Rose is a good guard but he definitely isn't the best. CP3 Deron Rondo Nash Parker all better than him.

He was the league MVP in 2011, so it's not a stretch when someone claims he's the best PG in the league.

Well that is certainly your oppinion, and oppinion is all it is.

    - Nash is old and does not play defense and is not as good as he was when he won back to back MVPs. He is not a serious contender to ever win another MVP.

    - I don't think you will find many people to agree with you that Parker or Rondo is as good as Rose. I certainly don't think they are on the same level as Rose.

    - CP3 & Deron Williams have been regarded as 1 & 2 for a while but certainly Rose landed in that discussion in 2011 when he won the MVP. So as far as I'm concerned Rose, CP3 & Williams are 1, 2 &3 in no perticular order.

Oh wow. Nash makes everyone better, he nearly carried a bunch of journeymen to the playoffs last season at age 38, and his shooting is amazing. Ultimate floor general, but please let's dismiss everything he brings to the table because he is a weak defender. In my opinion, yes Rose is good but just because he won league MVP does not make him top 3 pg's in the NBA. Top 7 sure but not top 3. But that is just me. Let's just agree to disagree then.

No problem but I'm not disregarding all of Nash's qualities, he's good but he's just not in the same class as Rose IMO.

I think Nash was the best for a good strecth

But the best PG in the league right now is CP3. I dont count Westbrook, and Rose as PG's

CP3 is the best pure PG since Nash was in his prime

CP3 gives you everything.. toughness, defense, shooting, passing, and good in the clutch. He may not be as quick as he was back in the day. But you cant find me a better PG in the WORLD that i would take over him( even though i hate his antics on the court)

The Rockets are not going anywhere as long as this clown runs the show in Houston.

We just drastically changed our team, got multiple picks and rookies. We have a EXTREMELY young team, but yet we have shown no sign of any future? Morey and les are doing fine.

I agree only if they continue with this charade of trying to land an established superstar. No way someone established wants any part of being on this roster as constructed right now and why would they.

I love the potential of our rookies. So continue down this path (even if it wasn't the Rockets plan A) at developing young talent. I hope we have an exciting season watching the young guys play, but they lose enough to net us a top 3 pick. Hope Toronto sucks enough to net us a pick between 7-10 and really build this thing from the ground up. I would be more than excited with a full rebuild.

My fear is, Les, Morey and company will continue to rebuild on the fly and completely screw this thing up. I don't want any more stop gap players. Morey has a very solid draft record, I'd like to see what he can do with a draft and develop plan with good picks.

So Morey, no one cares for the Boston plan any longer! We are not LA, NY or Boston. Stop all of this talking about we were close, we tried and BUILD us a freaking winner. Les, that goes for you too!!

I think both are great at giving fans hope and everything but not great at achieving minimal goals as making the playoffs and getting to round 2, round 3.

    You must be new here.

This is the kind of naivety that Les and Morey have been preying upon for years.

Exactly! I remember the last time Les and Morey dumped all the veterans on a team and stocked up on young guys with potential and draft picks.

That was back in 20andnever, wasn't it?

sorry finals mvp has no comparison to reg season mvp. Regular season mvp is decided on who is the best player in the league whereas finals mvp is based on the best player on the team that won the championship and I think it is safe to say that even though parker won finals mvp a case could have been made for either manu or duncan.
Nash won his two mvps when the league was going to a transition with younger players not yet established and older players starting to become over the hill. I still wont discount his mvps (even though rose's mvp is more impressive) the nash that won the 2 mvps no longer exists.

rose has led his team to a better record while not having a team as good as boston or cp3. Deron being better than rose? on what bases?
