Durant needs to stop chucking and start playing some D. Delfino has cooked him up pretty good. KD is 7 for his last 21 in this Argentina and in the QF AUstralia game combined

 

I see USA breaking this open in the 3rd.

USA can go on a quick strike and score 10 points in a minute blowing the game wide open.

 

It's so frustrating to see how many threes this team takes. Two offensive rebounds, both times kicked out to the three and they miss the cutting player for the easy layup/dunk/FTs.

I dont think Kevin Durant will ever be a good perimeter defender. He is not fluid on the permieter, he has long arms and can poke the ball free from time to time. But for the most the quicker guards will have an adavtage over him. Which is what makes LeBron guarding players like Rose and Westbrook so INSANE

Kobe keeping USA in it. Spain keeps easily getting USA to bite on pump fakes (horrible wing defense D by US). Game has been a game of long range jumpshots other than Marc Gasol in the middle.

Ugh, these refs are calling such soft fouls for Spain but when we get bumped on the perimeter, it's play on.

 

Great game thus far and getting heated. Ibaka is a beast and Love is pretty quietly effective. Russel Westbrook only guy clearly stinking it up.

With or without the 4th foul on Marc Gasol, Spain can't keep this up the whole game. At some point they will falter and the Team USA will blow it open.

Only things that can save Spain is to stay unconscious from long range until the end and/or for the 2nd half to be a complete foul-fest.
