In light of the trade that just happened: We know for a fact Dallas Keuchel is up next but I'm going with Mickey Storey and Jason Stoffel moved up as well.

Forgot about X-man in OKC so insert him and give Stoffel sometime at AAA.

BTW: Speculation on Brett Wallace from the commenters at TCB is that Wallace is being held up on promotion because it'll prevent him from reaching Super-Two status. Super-Two status is an extra year of arbitration instead of a third year of team-determined salary. They're estimating another 2 weeks before Wallace is out of Super-Two range.

It'll be VERY interesting to see how the OF is going to play out in CC. Wates, Goebbert, Locke, Muren, Bailey and now Grossman. Not to mention that Luhnow has basically guaranteed Springer's promotion very soon. That'd be 7 OF. Austin Wates is the only 1 that I think has deserved a trip to AAA. How will this all shake out???

Definitely. Bailey hasn't impressed. Goebbert has been heating up some. Muren's proven he can handle himself at AA, and Locke's been doing what he's always done but he's no longer a prospect and kinda has a "easy come, easy go vibe".

I'm gonna ultimately say when Springer gets promoted: Wates moved up to OKC, Bailey moved back to HiA, and Locke released. That'd leave an OF crew of Springer, Grossman, Goebbert, and Muren. Of course they could opt for a 5-man OF with someone pulling time in the IF.

Nice for Cosart and Cisnero! Cisnero's been particularly particularly dominant lately.

Hope Clemens can get back on track.

So Greene takes Downs spot but who takes J.D.'s?? I'm betting F-Mart but hoping for Jimmy "ParAdes around the bases"! My assumption is that it's too early in his transition to the OF so they'll wait on him til Sept but fingers crossed!

I think it is Jason Castro getting reactivated. Jimmy Paredes is possible as well, but with him transitioning to the OF, they may wait until September on him.

    EDIT because my timing sucks...

Castro is getting at least 2 more games in AAA this weekend. They want to see him go 9 innings in consecutive days without problems. Could be back by the series with the Cubs next week.

Just informing everybody here.. We got some news today in Tri City that im very disappointed about... Andrew Aplin, Kenny Long, and Jobduan Morales were all promoted today... Aplin and Long to Lancaster and Morales to Lexington... And in Tri City we are getting back Emilio King a guy who can't hit a curve ball and Cristian Moronta a Catcher both coming down from Lexington...

At The Short Season A level its not about winning its about showing progress and thats one thing that stinks... Tri City has the best record in the NYPL and have a 13 game lead in there own division and to see there best player in Aplin get called up to Lancaster and us not getting anything good in return kinda stinks but let hope some people from Greeneville and or GCL get called up to Tri City

I know nothing about Moronta so if anybody has any insight on this guy please inform me because i know nothing...

Kenny Long is going to get lit up like a Xmas true in Lancaster... His Promotion was a little bit to high to quick but for those you that live in California or around and will see Long you will know what im talking about when i saw he throws REALLY SLOW....

Losing those three sucks, Aplin was the league MVP at this point. If it's any consolation y'all still have the best rotation in the league and Catfish Elkins. I think it's a good opportunity for Heineman, Tucker, and lesser guys like Gulbransen and Wierzbicki to step up.

You are right on the Rotation but players stepping up idk about that.... Elkins has went way down... Aplin was a guy that helped Elkins alot in the lineup and since he has left Elkins has went way down... Heineman and Tucker have been doing AWESOME and Gulbransen is doing terrible... When he plays hes batting 9th.. he started the season out hot but has cooled off so much... Wierzbicki has been doing this thing.. hes been doing Ok lately... i would say hes been another 1 affected by Aplin leaving...

We did pick up 3 guys who i really cant say much about yet as i have not yet seen them enough to say anything but one of the guys we got is Jean Batista and i saw him tonight for the 1st time he seems like a guy who can hit and can field...

Also a little extra tidbit on Batista that i found out tonight was some of you might have heard some might not have but Miguel Sano of the Twins has been being filmed for a movie all about baseball in the Dominican Republic and there was a 2nd guy who was being filmed along with Sano in the movie and we found out tonight that it was Jean Batista that is in the movie.... Its a Documentary movie that came out is select theaters back in July... its called Ballplayer:pelotero... its directed by Bobby Valentine...

also one of my friend that i sit next to at games was talking to a rover or some1 in the astros brass and asked them about are we going to see some more talent here in TC before the season ends and the guy didnt say exactly who but he did mention Ariel Ovando's name..

since TC has a huge lead in the division and will be in the Playoffs it would be nice to see some guys from greeneville.... maybe a Carlos Correa, Lance McCullers, Rio Ruiz Adrian Houser....

Batista is a guy I really like. He'll hit, and hit, and hit. If he does well in TC, he could go straight to Lexington in 2013. I watched Pelotero about a month ago... really enjoyed it. Not sure what to think of him personally after how his trainer pretty much threw him under the bus.

Greeneville's in the thick of the playoff race in the Appy League too, so I doubt either of the Big 3 will be headed your way, unfortunately.

We should move some of this discussion to the big thread.

there is no if and's or buts about it... hes not gonna be in TC next year or back in Greeneville... the kid can flat out hit the ball... Hes a nice guy that can play any position in the infield... he played 1st the other night and did pretty well and then they brought Jesse Wierzbicki in (day off) and moved him to 3rd and played well there...

I expect 80-90% of the TC team to be in Lexington or above by next year... i would be shocked in more than 5 or 6 guys returned to TC... i also expect alot of TC guys to get cut starting with Neiko Johnson and Jarrod McKinney...

When TC won the championship back in 2010 they had some major call-ups when we won... Telvin Nash, Austin Wates and a couple pitchers... also remember Greeneville's season ends a week or 2 before TC's so we could see these guys last minute.... with 7 or 8 games to go... Greeneville is 1 and 1/2 games back for the wild card... and there remaining schedule looking at standings isnt going to be easy....
