This really all started when the Rockets let Hakeem go to Toronto instead of paying him what he deserved to finish his career out here after bringing the city 2 Clutch City Championships!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a slow decline since then in players wanting to play here, especially after the supposed Barkley refusal to pay as promised and letting people like Rudy T end up scouting for the Lakers and getting rid of Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy as a broadcaster.

Bringing in Morey with his disposition of everyone as assets and not as human players to be accounted for with the evaluation process, Houston just sems to be extremely undesirable for star players that have some say so or choice in the matter.

I don't know if we can get pass this as long as Morey is the GM and Les is the owner. I'm not saying Morey is doing a bad job, I just think the deck is stacked against him.

If Houston is to ever win a title with Morey as GM and Les as the owner, it is probably going to have to be on the backs of SuperStars that we have DRAFTED!!!!!!!!!

What it means, Dwight, is that after Kobe and Nash retire or get career-ending injuries, you'll be left on your own to carry the franchise with the expectations of the city of LA. Good luck!

I think history is proving that the Lakers are very good at reloading.

Kobe wants to be remembered as the greatest Laker ever. He's intentionally putting all that pressure on Howard because, secretly, he hopes his perceived career success never rivals his own. In truth, Kobe was never able to carry the team to a ring either. It was always on the backs of players like Shaq or Gasol.

Every star needs help, but you're smoking if you believe Gasol was EVER a better player than Kobe on either of those Laker Championship teams. With Shaq, O'neal was the most dominant force in the NBA at during the Shaq-Kobe era, no shame in being 2nd fiddle there. There's not player in the league now that wouldn't have been 2nd fiddle to Shaq at the time.

Lakers lose Game 7 againist the Celtics againist in the Championship without Gasol in 2010. Kobe almost shotjacked the Lakers out of a ring, Gasol and Bynum getting those offensive boards saved Kobe's legacy lol

They wouldn't have been there w/o Kobe bro. They needed both to win it but Kobe was the lead dog. Perkins being out helped those guys get some those boards too. Kobe had a rare bad game in a big time situation. It happens. To say he rode Gasol's back to a ring is a stretch. BTW, Gasol was only 6-16 w/18rebs & Kobe (15rebs) had more rebounds than Bynum in that game.

Who anchored a championship calibre defense with the absence of Andrew Bynum?

"In order to be a great leader...you have to learn how to follow..." - DH

Problem is Dwight...when ORL and their mgmt paid you 30 mil the past 2 years...you were expected to be a leader...when you were the #1 pick in the draft...you were supposed to lead...

DH you are never gonna be a leader...because you never had or will have it in you...

Answer my question first. Boy thats some championship caliber defense in 2008 Finals, where was it when Bynum was gone? The Lakers have 3 bigs, all 3 bigs have their strengths and weaknesses and all 3 bring different things to the table, they balance each other out and they fill in the hole the other ones has.

Why are you obsessed with Dwight Howard? Were you a fan of his, while in a Magic uniform, because I could understand a little more? Even then, I don't think he cares (more bluntly ... he doesn't give s#it), while I don't even think his more arduous admirers write about him like that.

I am not obsessed, genius. I just got done saying I was putting it behind me and moving forward. I simply knew Dwight was Morey's main target as long as he was on the market and Morey was doing everything he could to trade for arguably the second or third best player in the NBA. If you were the GM and the second or third best player in the NBA were on the market, wouldn't you be trying to trade for him?

No, I'm not a huge personal fan of Dwight. I am a Rockets fan, interested in seeing championship basketball by my home team. That's why I wanted Dwight. That's all.

Stop the r****ded "obsessed" remarks. It was never about Dwight. It was about the Rockets.
