    Nope.

I hoped he could be someone who could bring the two parties together in Congress and agree on some bipartisan fixes to our economy and deficit. Instead, Congress took a dump on the rug, peed on the couch, and ran out of the house.

Obama hasn't done much uniting, but it's hard to unite people who refuse to change their stance. And I'm not just talking about Republicans; he couldn't get some Democrats to change their hardline stance, either. The problem with our country isn't really the President, even though he's the face of the country; the problem is in Congress.

That said, Obama's still less divisive and more willing to compromise than Romney is and it's why he'll be getting my vote. Not only that, but Romney is a lying fool whose only political tactic these days seems to be taking things Obama says out of context (the whole "you didn't build that" shtick), or outright lying (the welfare ad). He gets no respect from me, and won't get my vote either.

I don't think Obama is an ideal candidate, but he's better than the alternative. It's not "Hope and Change" situation from 4 years ago, but it's the best we got (and that's really sad).

You are aware that Romney successfully governed one of the deepest blue states in the country and got major bills passed with a Democratic legislature, correct?

Obama meanwhile has supermajorities in the House and Senate for 2 years and has to fall back to budget reconciliation to get Obamacare passed and fails in his effort on cap and trade.

So Romney was basically a Democrat with a Republican label, right? The thing is, he doesn't want people thinking about that now. He's running AWAY from his "accomplishments" as governor because it damages his standing with the party. He doesn't want his political and business past examined under the microscope (not to mention recent tax returns). Not only has he flip-flopped on key issues, Romney wants to redact parts of his past.

My revised description of Romney: Swiss cheese, shape-shifting chameleon.

    I don't mind Governor Romney.

My issue is with presidential candidate Romney, who has seemingly gone through a major transformation with his stances on most things. I also have issue with his "ability" to go through such transformations in ideology in such a short time period, coincidentally with the whims of his base.

I won't be voting against 15 years ago Romney, but current Romney.

I've had this guy on ignore for weeks and I stopped addressing him in any serious way more than a year ago but he's still naming threads after me.

Isn't there some right-wing BBS rule by which this behavior confers ownership of his mind and soul to me?

If so, just put them in a bag and leave them out with the trash. I don't want them and I don't think it's a very good idea that they be recycled.

I know where my vote is going.

When a naked man in a cowboy hat ISN'T the largest joke on the list, I vote for him.
