Dwight Howard didn't just pay a back center and 15 game starter $8 million per.

Howard didn't draft our players. That's on Morey.

    Does jopatmc live in Houston?

Could someone give him a call or drive to his home/work, make sure he isn't taking this all too badly?

OremLK still defiantly posts. Jopatmc....quieter than a mouse fart.

Yeah Houston offer must have been bad, and worse for the magic than we thought.

Sam Gardner: Thank goodness the Magic got Josh McRoberts out of the Dwight deal. I was beginning to think they'd been swindled. 2 minutes ago

Good, now we can focus on improving the team long term, instead of highly probable stop gap moves.

You keep calling for Morey's head or for him to be fired. IMO he got a steal in Lin, who is on par with other franchise PG like Irving, Wall, and Curry. Each of those PGs are gonna cost $11M+ when they get off their rookie contracts. Lin was a STEAL at the price Morey got him for.

Just what exactly do you guys want?

If Lin and Asik and rookies turn out to be good and help the team to a playoffs spot or near to it, people complain about not tanking properly, not getting a top 3 pick and a potential superstar.

If they turn out to be not so good and we become a bottom team, people still complain and blame it all on Morey's bad signings/drafting/dealing.

Morey can't seem to win either way.

You need to learn to read. Saying that he needs to do (insert reasonable accomplishment here) by (insert reasonable timetable here) is not "calling for Morey's head". The die has been cast now, Yao's shadow doesn't haunt this team anymore, we go forward with the rookies, as they go, Morey goes. I would be saying the SAME thing if we had landed Dwight. The clock is ticking and the nuts are on the dresser.

If you think we're going to be bad enough to get great draft picks the next two years (barring major trades or injuries), you're going to be sorely disappointed. This team will be slightly worse than last year's squad, nothing more. Expect a pick in the double-digits.

Forget Wall and curry for a second.
But really?!? Your that much of a Lin Only Fan that you believe he's on par with Irving?

    Your post is stupid!!!!

A top 4 seed or a division title by the end of the 2014-2015 season.

Anyone from now on that wants to "fire More"-enter your next GM you think is available as well in your posts.
I don't think there is much better out there....
    He tries
He wasn't leveraging a mansion for one year of Dwight

It was about the salary take back.....

The offer was great...but ORL placed more emphasis on salary dump and Rox didn't want to hamstring itself for a player that already was throwing out threats of leaving.

    Smart move on Morey's part.

    In public "we tried"

in private "eff Dwight and this is the best we are gonna do Henny"

CLEARLY salary dump (phase 1) was the most important aspect of the deal for them.

They'll get their players later via draft like a TRUE rebuilding team should.
