How did this guy get a job. I mean every writer is blasting the deal. Twitter is blowing up calling for his head.

I thought Danny Ferry and otis smith were bad, but this guy just blew them out of the water.

Did he save salary? A little bit, but he took on 14mil a year for the next three so fail.

Did he get high draft picks? No

Did he get any good player? Maybe Vucevic, but all those guys are mediocre.

How did this guy get this job? Does he have dirty pics?

I still think NOLA GM is the worst. Kwame and Marc for Pau.

Apparently the owner of Orlando had more say than Hennigan did, which if I was Rob I would be ****ing pissed about.

That would be Memphis, not NOLA. And Marc turned out to be a pretty good player.

Probably why Orlando gave him the job. They needed a young guy to be the face for this farce.

Well I think this post hit it right on the head. LOL what a bad deal.

And to be quite honest, its why I don't buy the whole "superfriends" bandwagon theory. Players don't want to play with other players, they want to go to big market cities and they want to win. The Lakers trade for Pau showed that, Gasol isn't buddies with Kobe and that roster is always old, but the Lakers always win and its in a big city.

Now, the Lakers trade away just Bynum and get an upgrade and other good pieces. WTF?! And this Rob Hannigan person walked away from the Rox trade in order to sort this out and he ended up with nobody good? LOL, this is Pau Gasol bad...in fact I'd say its worse considering DH is the best center in the league while Gasol was seen as a notch below TD, KG and Dirk at the time.

i'm sure they will magically get the number one pick next year.
but I agree the guy did not get what was best for orlando. The other teams did make out like bandits.

So why don't you veto this trade Stern!?!? You sack of crap. This trade has more "basketball reasons" that merit a veto than our trade with NO and LA last year.

    So pissed.

The only reason were pissed is because Dwight didn't want to be here which prevented us from fleecing orl

indeed. but it was a stupid trade.
they just got lucky that Marc Gasol decided he actually likes basketball and went from a fatter version of Eddy Curry to a very good player.
noone expected that. So i can't give them credit for it.
just one of those situations where a blind chicken finds a worm.

because "basketball reasons" only works if you are legally obligated to run the team.

In hindsight, maybe it's not such a bad idea if the NBA bought this team just until a proper deal gets done.

EASILY the worst as of right now.

He made one trade so far and it will probably go down as the worst trade in NBA history.
