Kinda funny watching Lebron's fans lament another star going to a loaded team.

It's obvious the deal was more about ORL giving Howard and company what they wanted instead of getting ORL what they wanted.

Fagen probably threatened ORL with never letting his Free Agents do business with them.

I'll be the first to admit I was wrong in my quiet confidence that Howard would be a Rocket. I just didn't see any other deal the Magic would take other than Houston's.

Still don't, but you just can't predict other people's perception or account for unknown factors. I may have left out the 'panic' and 'desperation' when I was thinking about it. I'm sure Orlando got frustrated that the Rox wouldn't go all in for a possible rental and felt like they were getting low-balled.

This kind of **** needs to be stopped by the NBA if true.

It's the only plausible scenario here.

Im glad we didn't make that deal we would have been left with Dwight and Orlando bad contracts.

Not going to happen but I think an investigation by the league is warranted. Agents should be considered 3rd party / outsiders in these dealings, not power players.

Why would the owners care about breaking a promise to D12 unless they are being blackmailed by agents? Stern will look the other way.

Of course he'll look the other way. Dwight in LA is better for his business than Dwight in Houston. That's all he cares about.

From day one, I knew Howard will never play for Rockets.

Stern is the one that allows players and their agents to have this level of power. Executives with other leagues had the foresight to see these developments coming and took preemptive action against it. Not the NBA, though.

Could Owners collectively bargain a cap on agent power by limiting the number of NBA clients they can represent?

Dude, cut the crap. Oh, I'm a bandwagoner bc I'm at my wits end with the NBA and it's shennanigans? The Magic got a crap deal. Period.

You posted pictures of being on cloud 9 and dumb ish like that when you know that the majority of the fans aren't very pleased of this outcome. A lot has to do with Howard ending up in the West on the freakin Lakers. Be happy that we have been out of the first round ONCE SINCE 1997. And yet we're still all here. Don't come at me with that if you really are a fan BS.
